I got some incredible photos with this lens, even in lower light situations I did not expect. I am a beginner photographer and this lens helped make me look like a pro.

Bought lens to travel with

I have the 70-200 2.8 but decided it was too big to carry. This lens worked nicely on my D600 FX. Overall the lens seems fairly sharp if you step down a f stop except at 300mm. I just backed it off a little for an improvement.

nikon -af-s vr zoom -nikkor lense 70 to 300mm

I need to get out there and do some nature shots I sure it will be exciting !

Great Vesitile Telephoto Lense
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this a few weeks ago to complement the Photography equipment we use for Mexican Rodeo. The results so far have been great, the lense has the right amount of range and the 300mm max zoom really gives us the results that we are looking for as far as close ups. Before we used to crop most of our pictures and now we really dont have to. The down side is the f/ stops, making sure we keep our finger on the auto-focus button as we track the subjects in the arena. But other than that, a great lense overall.
