    This was one of the first lenses I bought for my Nikon 5100 & 7100. This lens is absolutely amazing and I'm glad I chose this as a first/second lens. While its a tad heavier than most prime or kit lenses, it is very well built in all aspects. I would buy this lens again if I ever needed a second one or needed to replace my current one. The only thing that could make this lens better is a bigger apature....but can't beat the price!

    This is a decent lens for the money. It tends to get soft in the 200+ range and it doesn't perform well in low light. However, it is a good lens for general, well lit situations.

    I am using this lenses on a Nikon D7100 with the 1.6 x crop factor this lenses is equivalent to a 108 - 465 mm lenses. The zoom capability is very helpful on the sport fields. I also have a 24-70 mm lenses which is an amazing lenses, but your subjects are fully aware that you are taking their photo. I am enjoying taking pictures from a far of my kids and capturing real life moments- not posed.
