Great easy to use camera and does work pretty well underwater!

There are a number of reviews that are very detailed and cover most of the good and bad features. I bought this camera primarily for underwater use. In the store, the buttons were easy to use, but I found the video on/off button near the edge of the camera hard to operate with one hand underwater. Everything else about the camera is fine.

Not the most high tech in certain areas, but definitely sufficient for a novice underwater photographer like myself. Dove as deep as 68 ft so far, and the camera held up great. Got some cool underwater pictures and video. You'll need to purchase a good SD memory card, but once you do, it'll record just over 27 minutes per video, which was plenty for me.

This is perfect handy camera. I am usually a dslr guy but if you need something compact to carry with amazing quality this is the thing. Plus this is water proof. Can take pictures underwater. Amazing but

This is a good camera. I like the waterproof feature although still nervous to get wet but feel comfortable knowing it can. The quality is great, the size is convenient, and it feels durable.

I would have given this camera 5 stars if I didn't need to replace it after my trip. Luckily it was within the 15-day return policy. It just stopped working and wouldn't turn on. I actually only went under water twice and it wasn't submerged long and the rest was water being splashed on it. No reason for it stop working especially since I didn't go under more than 50 feet. I re-charged it, let it dry out, took the battery out, etc. Nothing! So they switched it out and next time I got the insurance on it just in case it happens again outside the return policy time-frame. So far so good.

Overall impressed with the functionality (built-in WiFi), the built (rugged) and the simple use of this camera. Did I mention it is waterproof up to 100 feet underwater? Nice!!!

I took this camera on a trip to Mexico to use while snorkeling in the cenotes. It worked great. Only thing you must make sure is that you lock the camera closed after messing with the battery or SIM card. If it is not locked in to position it is NOT water proof.

Its an awesome addition to my cell phone camera. I have taken it snorkeling 5 times and in the pool a bunch. Easy to clean and the wifi app works really well on my Galaxy 5. Photos are really clear. Only knock is only 5x optical zoom, but the other features are so worth it!

I bought this camera because the focus lens on my Canon camera broke and wouldn't go in and out any longer. The Nikon is a nice size and takes quality photos. It takes great pictures underwater too. I lost it on a trip to NJ and bought another one since I liked it so well.

We took our new camera on vacation with us. When we took it to the beach, it captured great video and pictures. Indoor and some outdoor scenic situations it struggles to get the white balance right. Either the foreground is so dark you cannot see faces or the background is so bright you cannot see the house in the background. Great for water areas since they are usually very bright. If you are trying to use this as your basic all around camera, you will be disappointed some of the time. Overall it served us well and it was nice to have something better than my phone for pictures.

Recently purchased this camera for a trip over the holidays. The camera is simple to use and performed very well. Used the camera often in the pool without any problems. Did not put it through a deeper diving test but hopefully it will perform well when I do.

I purchased this camera for another family member who was going on a cruise with us. Just so they could have their own camera on their activities and the response was amazing. I cannot tell you how simple it is to use and the quality of shots it gets from just a few simple clicks. I myself try not to use auto myself, but every shot they came back with was perfectly in focus and clear, even under water. This is my go to for water proof single shot cameras.

So far I've used the camera a little but really like it. It takes awesome pictures and gives you many options with pictures. The Wi-fi is awesome. Looking forward to using at high elevation this fall to see how it holds up under wet weather and cold temps.

I have used this camera several times since purchasing it and found it to provide excellent photos in and out of the water. You need to ensure the camera is dry before opening and follow the instructions on the waterproof seals. The battery last for hundreds of photos and with a reasonably sized memory card, you do not have to worry about opening the seals as often. The only reason for not receiving 5 stars is that the controls/buttons are a bit too small and close making it a little difficult to use and it would be better to have a greater optical zoom.

Gave my daughter an older model when she traveled to Greece and she got some excellent shots, above and below the water. When it came time for me to replace my camera, I went with Nikon's newest model of the same camera. Love it!

I purchased this camera to take on my first vacation to Hawaii and Thank goodness I did. My pictures all came out amazing and I loved being able to transfer them to phone immediately to my phone.

I bought this as a replacement for an Olympus Tough Series that I'd lost on a hike. I bought this one due to price and also because it seemed more intuitive to use than the Olympus. Several weeks of use and I have no complaints or regrets.

Six months after purchase, have taken this camera to the ocean, caverns, swamps and mountains. Great pictures and movies with long battery life. Very versatile, allowing for more technical photographs if you are into that, and the optionality of taking a photograph in a hurry as well so you do not miss something that just came up. Have dropped it quite a few times both on cement, boat decks and other hard surfaces. A few scratches but operates as new. Wifi is very convenient to pull selected pictures into your phone.
