Posted .The B500 uses 4AA batteries. The following battery types should be used: LR6/L40 alkaline, FR6/L91 lithium, EN-MH2 Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. The Battery Type setting in the B500's Setup Menu should be adjusted to reflect the type of battery being used. If the Battery Type is not set correctly then the battery level reading may not be accurate. Please contact Nikon Support with any questions at 1-800-NikonUS.
