This camera fills the bill. Nikon is keeping their name and reputation up with this model. My daughter lives out of state and uses it for some semi-professional photo shoots along with setting up websites for folks. After she had played with it for a couple of days, I got this text message from her: "This camera rocks!!!". I think that says it all.
