Slow to take pictures, Nikon wireless upload bad

So, I bought this camera cause I'm on the field all day, and need the pictures to be sent to office as quick as possible. Nikon advertises their app you can load on your phone, and take pictures with camera and it'll auto transfer to phone and then you can upload automatically to Nikon picture service. This never worked reliable so I returned the camera as this was the main reason I bought this camera. That and it uses AA batteries, which is great when a battery dies in the field in an emergency I can just stop at a store and replace. Second issue I had with this camera is that it was much slower to take the picture when I clicked the button. My current Canon took the pictures almost immediately, there was a noticeable delay with the Nikon. Sadly this camera didn't meet my needs, and I returned it to Best Buy.

I purchased this camera because it had good reviews online and seemed like a decent price for what I was looking for. I have been completely disappointed with this camera all around. The sync app for the iPhone does not work, and crashes every time. So that's a big frustration. The camera has a moveable screen, but it moves in a completely illogical fashion - so if you'd like to use it to take a self portrait or to see how a photo looks from the other side, forget it. The quality of photos are not great. I regret buying this camera and will most likely be selling it on eBay.

The B500’s 3” LCD tilts out approximately 85° downward and approximately 90° upwards. A tilting screen of this kind is great for making viewing adjustments in challenging lighting situations and for shooting at odd angles. The B500’s LCD does not rotate out from the body to allow for viewing from the front of the camera. If you’d like assistance with connecting your B500 to your iPhone or with improving the quality of your shots please contact Nikon Support: http://bit.ly/2p4UGwN . Nikon

I read that this was a great camera especially for beginners. So far my pictures do not show that. I do have previous experience with cameras, so I'm not a complete beginner. However, I have been trying to take pictures of my niece who is one. Most of them have been out of focus. I also have had difficulty with night pictures as well. My pictures on my cell phone come out much better more often in general. I will say, I have been able to take some beautiful pictures of the moon. But overall I would not recommend this camera.

The first one wouldn't focus properly. The second one seemed fine until the battery door kept opening while shooting. The battery door problem is apparently a known issue with this camera. Not impressed at all. The settings are very limiting and there's no manual operation - if you're at all serious about your photography or ever want or need to take a shot at or past dusk, find something different. Im a professional photographer and I bought this for a friend, it was a mistake.

had to go on the internet to get a users manual. which is a cheap way of doing business. had to also go on line and download a program to transfer pics from camera to computer. also it came with regular batteries nand no rechargeable ones or a charger. How many pictures will it take. Had to also buy more memory for it. a person wants everything with the camera and forget the internet. took camera back won't waste money on an internet supported item and cheapy power supply.

Many COOLPIX cameras use rechargeable Li-ion batteries and Nikon supplies those cameras with a battery and a charger. However, the COOLPIX B500 uses AA batteries and is supplied with a set of 4 AA Alkaline batteries for trial purposes. Some customers prefer the convenience of AA batteries, and battery life varies depending on the type of AA batteries used. Approximately 600 still photos can be taken when using fresh AA Alkaline batteries, while approximately 1240 still photos can be taken with fresh AA Lithium batteries. Additional details on battery life & testing can be found in the COOLPIX B500 Reference Manual which can be downloaded from Nikon’s website. The B500 is also supplied with a camera strap, lens cap, USB cable, and a printed Quickstart Guide. Nikon’s free View NX-i software is available for download from Nikon’s website. The COOLPIX B500 has about 20MB of internal storage, and accepts standard sized SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (not included). Nikon

This is allegedly a point-and-shoot camera. I recently shot 150 photos indoors in good light. Oly about 15% of them were out of focus. At times two pictures were taken with 60 sec, of each other, one was sharp the other terribly out of focus. It does seem to have difficulty finding and keeping focus. I did better with my FM-2 manual focus camera.

This camera is no better than nikons point and shoot camera's. I only had this for 7 months and used it a handful of times and the shutter is already broken. If you get this make sure you get the warranty!!! It's a decent camera but a little disappointing. It's not a bad camera but you definitely pay for what you get.

The product seems OK but it does not operate to perform the uses I sought and explained before purchase. I suppose I must “upgrade” to get what works as needed and as I thought I was getting. Camera keeps locking up while taking pictures. Requires opening the battery compartment to reset. Also, it uses only Bluetooth to transfer pictures to your phone which is slooooooow at 16mp resolution. Wifi is only for remote control. Going to return it for the Canon SX530.

Takes nice pictures, until it locks up - bought a memory card rated for 4K, adjusted battery settings, still no good. Was on a cruise and missed some really nice shots waiting having to pop out the batteries to get it unstuck

Saw great reviews online about this camera, so I went to purchase. I would rather purchase a disposable camera. Quality of the pictures suck. My iPhone takes better pictures

After linking my camera to download it continued to drain the batteries dead. I had to replace the batteries 4 times on our trip to Ireland. Will not transfer the videos to the app!!! I am very disappointed in this camera!

Takes alright pictures. But the automatic settings and different extra settings just seem off. Great for people that don't know how to use a DSLR, but if you have any knowledge about photography it is more annoying than anything.

I'm sure this would be better for anyone better with technology but it was too annoying for me. It wanted me to make different settings each time I turned it on. I quickly realized it was not the camera for me

Thai cameras takes great photos when you can get it to focus. Shutter speed is extremely show and takes awhile to focus leading to many missed photos and many blurred photos

This camera did not have raw format and you could see noise in the jpeg processing. I returned it and bought the P900 which processes jpeg better and the 2000mm zoom is awesome!
