    Iphone Connection issues

I had a great experience with the sales rep when purchasing the camera at the time of purchase he seem knowledgeable with the products. I was able to get it home and tested the camera quality which was very good quality during the day and night time. I would give the picture quality a high rating. The problem and where I would rank it low at is it not being compatible with Iphones. The directions do not mention this important information in them as a matter of fact you can download the Snap Bridge Nikon Utility App on your iphone but if you want it to connect forget about it. I took it to the Geek squad rep and they were not able to figure it out. Finally I called Nikon only to be told that it is not compatible at this time and they are working on it. Of course they blamed Apple and I am sure if I called apple they would blame Nikon. If you want a quality camera and own an android phone or if you are not worried about the Wifi connection I would recommend this camera. If you own an iphone and want wifi than I would stay away from the camera. One last tidbit...Nikon should be noting this information on there product but sadly they are not.

    Great camera, still no app

I bought this camera because I loved my daughter's which is the previous model. I held out and spent an extra $100 for the new Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone since she had battery issues with the wifi on previous model. I loved the phone/ remote feature and bought it before our cross country family national parks trip and my sisters wedding in June. Great camera but unfortunately (despite what the box said) there was no IOS (iPhone) app...I was hopeful that I would still be able to have those features bc it said it would be available in "summer 2016"....now it says August, but August is half way done and our trip is done. The sales associate should have told me this at time of purchase. I would have likely bought the older and cheaper model so I could have used the remote and upload features on our trip and at the wedding. Camera is of good quality and pictures are good but because of false advertising and prolonged wait for the app I cannot leave a five star review

I have couple professional DSLR cameras and the latest iPhones. The reason buying this camera is to use this light weight camera when traveling outside the country. My DSLR are very heavy, my iPhone takes good photo but expect this will be my backup camera. After purchased and tested it, don’t like it at all! My iPhone takes much better pictures than this. Hard to get auto focus if not enough light. Can’t adjust apperture, shutter speed and ISO manually. The flash is not automatic, it is manual popping it by hand. Don’t have burst mode. Couple things I want to point out is the weight is light comparing to the DSLR camera, inexpensive, display screen is movable, uses 4x AA batteries (in case out of batteries, you can simply pick up 4 AA batteries from 711), connects to smartphone and uses smartphone GPS and date for the photo metadata. I don’t like buy and return. Although I don’t like it, I will keep it. I should buy a light weight DSLR camera instead.

So, i bought this camera because I loved the color, the pop up flash, and how it came with a necklace attatchment and had wifi. I used it about 3 times. I loved all the different settings and modes also. So, the downside, I went to turn it on one day and it would not open the lense and turn on, as if the lense was jammed. I did not drop it or anything. So i don't know why it would do that. Finally after googling, I held the take picture button and on button and after a while got it on. However it would do this everytime I turned it on. When i went to use the flash a bunch of lines came up on the screen. It was broke out of nowhere. I had to exchange it for a whole different camera. Another downside it takes 4 Aa batteries, which isnt a huge issue but kind of inconvenient. And the screen it has lifts up and down but not enough to see it if you were to take a selfie picture, it doesnt turn all the way around.

I am a professional photographer and bought this for my granddaughters 13 birthday as she wants to start getting into photography ( imagine my excitement as I have never really even shared much with her on this matter) so me being a huge fan of both Nikon and Best Buy I chose this as her beginner camera. The only thing I was really disappointed in is she had her national honor roll society ceremony to be at and so I took it with me to shoot with and as I was sitting on bleachers not really far off to shoot the photo when she got her awards and it not only couldn't focus it wouldn't adjust to the room I tried to put it on auto, manual flash everything and it just didn't get the pic. but for outside well lite room its a ok.

Great for starter camera. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Nice flash. Cons jams which gets frustrating. You cannot attach detach a lens (if photography is something ur serious about upgrade in future) Can not figure out to change shutter speed. So fbibking it’s not possible Quality isn’t the best but maybe it has more to do on my end. But all n all GREAT FOR A NEWBIE JUST GETTING STARTED FOR THE PRICR N THIS WILL HELP DETERMINE IF ITS A PASSION HONESTLY.

I like this camera, but I'm not in love. I do love the color though. I wanted something for a greater distance than the small point ad shoot versions. I also wanted regular AA batteries since it thought it would be annoying to have to charge the battery constantly or buy a spare. This way, I carry around a bunch of AA batteries and I feel in control. When traveling, access to electricity is not always dependable. I thought you could take selfies with it, but you can't and it's a bit heavy and certainly won't fit into my bag. What's good about it: the price, the color, the long range telephoto, the lens cap that comes with a string so you won't lose it, and the size of the buttons, which fit your fingers better than the small cameras do. Would I get it again? I think so because on the whole, it has more of what I what than other cameras.

The camera takes some amazing pictures, the batteries last a very long time and the build quality is excellent. But I bought this camera because supposedly I could connect it to my Ipad wirelessly and download the pics & even control the camera remotely using the Nikon SnapBridge app. Total fail with that app, it just does not connect and nobody online appears to have a solution. Other Nikon cameras I saw have big issues with SnapBridge. It will connect to a Microsoft Windows PC with no problems with the cable and thats the only reason I will not return it.

I bought the camera to take pictures of my nieces basketball games. I couldnt get it ti take very good action shots. Other than that it took pretty nice photos. Video worked well and the camera itself is beautiful. The plum was so pretty i had to have it. When i got home and played with it and seen it really didnt do what i wanted it to do i ended up taking it back. I have an older canon rebel so there was no need for a "pretty" camera just hanging around my house. I would recommend for beginners becausr the system itself was very easy.

No the best for night fotos or portraits in the dark to be more specific. Also is nor chargeable, it requires batteries which sucks because you have to constantly buy & replace the batteries on the camera to continue using. It takes great daytime photos and portraits though. Love the screen and how it allows you to more easily take photos front above or below your eye level aside from the batteries and the nighttime problem it is an amazing camera !

    Expected Better for the Price

The camera is ok for vacations and ordinary use but it is no where as good as a DSL. If you are looking for that quality then you will have to pay the price for that camera. This camera does have cool features like the bluetooth uploading to your phone and filters that are directly on the camera. I am satisfied but did expect better quality pictures. I would have given it a 4 except that the pics are very blurry if your subject is moving so you will not get good shots there.

Lens cap and neck strap are definite improvements over my previous Nikon. Viewfinder would be helpful since it's nearly impossible to see anything in the screen if you're attempting to shoot in the sun. Also distracting that the lens zooms in nearly all the way automatically when shooting in macro so you have to zoom back out and hope your subject is still in frame.

Difficult to synchronize camera with phone. The camera has great photo quality and the flip screen is helpful when taking photos and reviewing them. Battery life is something to be desired. More videos should be available to assist with camera functionality

I bought this for my wife, thinking she'd love it because I never got into photography so I didn't know any better. She was disappointed, to say the least. It takes decent photos but the light has to be perfect. I would have returned it but went past the deadline so now I'm stuck with a camera that she'll never use and spent $450 on a better camera.

Not the best but you have to start somewhere, Cámara has good picture Quality but to me it’s just too slow. Don’t get me wrong because camara has lots of great features but it’s just slow for me. Another con Will be the it takes awhile to get the camara pictures on the mobile device because it can’t connect correctly.

This will work as a decent point and shoot camera, but the Sport Mode on this is absolutely worthless. The shots are slow and the exposure times long rendering them blurry. We had previously used a Nikon P510 and that sport mode worked perfectly for indoor and outdoor settings.

I guess for the price it is a good camera but when it is cold it’s hard to use. And when taking photos with the flash you have to wait for the picture to finish loading to see the real photo and before you can take another photo. This is definitely for someone who is a beginner

It takes clear pictures but the camera is WAY too slow to grab anything (even in sports mode) If you're new to working with cameras this is just good for stable shots in the right mode

It takes great pictures but def not good for the long run. It uses regular AA batteries and it eats them up like crazy! Other than that it is a great camera for pics and short videos. If you can do with the constant battery change then it's great for the prize
