Gave to my nephew as a present and he loves it. It's his first digital cameral and it's not complicated for a beginner. Pictures turn out great

I absolutely adore this camera! Nikon has always had good levels of cameras and while I wanted more than a point n click like I've always almost gotten but I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for a Dslr, this bridge camera is perfect! Great settings, great quality, camera strap is sturdy (wish it came with a wrist strap option but you can find them elsewhere), has a solid weight to it but not super heavy. AMAZING zoom! 80x, I get EXTREME close up shots of the moon, im talking about good pics of craters on the moon (it's basically like a telescope!). TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!

Nikon - COOLPIX B500 is the perfect startup camera. It generates excellent images and provides flexibility (AA batteries or AA nicad rechargeable compatibility; hand held or standard tripod mountable; electronic image transfer or insert microSD/microSDHC combo card from camera into pc/laptop/tablet). It has combo lens ( approx 24mm to approx 190mm). The main negative is the slower auto focus speed.

My significant other uses this to take pictures of his action figures. It gives us great quality and focus, but doesn’t sacrifice price!

I've had my eye on this camera for a while and finally decided it was time to get it. The clarity is way beyond my expectations. I wanted to get a little bit of practice using the different features, so I went around my yard photographing the flowers. (The zoom is incredible!!!) Once I downloaded them onto my computer, I could see the tiniest insects, or drops of dew on the flowers with unbelievable clarity! There is also a really neat feature where you can add makeup and enhance a photo of a person. There are a few other features which I haven't used yet, but overall, I am absolutely pleased with the picture quality.

Purchased this camera online with very prompt delivery. Camera is easy to set up and use immediately. Photos are sharp and clear.

Our children of various ages were able to use the camera without any issues. I personally love to read the instructions prior to use. We use it most for sporting events. The clarity that we get with the zoom and sport feature allow us to capture every moment of the baseball pitch, basketball shot and even the facial expressions of our opponents lol.

I'm going to give this 5 stars, but I haven't had a lot of time to get used to it yet, I have taken some pictures and it seems to work good, it does have some drawbacks like the battery saver which I seem to have missed in the ad and it only has a digital screen, which aren't deal breakers.. it is the most expensive camera I own and it works as advertised and I'm not a professional by any means, just need some time to get used to it... THANKS...

I brought it for my fiancée as a Christmas present she love it ! Easy to use great zoom the only bad thing is the battery sistem (is not rechargeable)

Camera is great for beginner photographers. Features same as other brands. Nikon is overall a dependable camera. My daughter loves the red color.

Was impressed with the pictures and the ease of going from full frame to macro Even though night pictures are hard to take. Over all the camera was worth the money.
