Bought this camera to replace an older Nikon Coolpix camera that had broken. Currently taking mostly nature photos and am very pleased with the results. Takes great videos as well. This is a good camera for people who want to take nice photos who don't want to drag around cameras with giant lenses.

We purchased this camera before our trip. Did some research on it beforehand. Hey impressed with the ease of use and the excellent clarity of the pictures.

Unit is large enough to grip and light enough to hang on your neck for extended periods. Lens is long enough for detail but hard to hold steady on long zooms.

last year I lost my Coolpix while in Barcelona Spain. replaced it with what I thought comparable camera in France. Brought this camera on a trip last month to AZ and forgot charger. When I went to purchase a new charger, none available so bought new camera instead and this is a closer replacement for the one I lost. Only disadvantage I can see is the use of 4 AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. But guess I wont forget the charger for this one :) It's just that constantly replacing AA batteries can get expensive and is a headache. Other than that am very pleased with all features of this camera.
