Takes nice pictures outside, descent pictures of the moon. But only 3 weeks in the lens got stuck in zoom. Glad I bought the warranty with best buy.

    Great Camera for the Price

I bought this camera a week ago. I'd been tentatively looking for an upper end point-n-shoot or a lower end DSLR. My previous camera had been a big disappointment and I was hesitant to sink a lot of money into another camera. When I saw the price drop on this one, I bought it. (Joke's on me, as the price dropped some more this week) PROS Great camera for the price. Crisp, not blurry pictures except in low light conditions w/o flash. Camera is solid, not like flimsy cheap cameras. Captures colors well in the day time. Lots of great shooting modes. Great battery life, takes 4 AA batteries. CONS I don't care for the strap that comes with the camera. The lens cap takes a little getting used to. Camera doesn't have an optical viewer. Low light conditions are a little tricky to get right on this camera without using the flash. (The flash sometimes distorts colors slightly)

If you need a max zoom of 6ft this is the camera. Further than that, do not even think about it

It's pretty easy to use and the pictures come out good quality. The zoom is fine though when you start to get too far into the optical zoom things can get fuzzy, but low-zoom or non-zoomed photos look really crisp. Small and easy for amateur use, and a good price, but definitely get a DSLR if you're looking for more professional outcomes.

If you have a smartphone, any decent smartphone. Then don't buy this because you're smartphone will take better pictures than this.

Good Camera for Beginners but not the Best

The Zoom is good but very unstable for videos. The picture quality is above average. No extra options to adjust ISO / Shutter speed / Aperture..etc. So if you are a beginner just point and shoot...!!!

got this camera to replace my nikon coolpix p80,and after using this camera a while i have come to realize that i hate this camera.reasons- without a lens cap on if your coat or shirt touches the lens when you turn it on it will say turn off and remove lens cap,it will suddenly die with no warning, when you open the back the 4 double a batteries will fall out if you turn the camera they are not held in.it takes it longer to record the picture to view or to take another picture, and it doesn't take as good pic as my old camera. i thought this was going to be a step up but turned out to be a step backward.

    Not for me

So this was to be my first "high tech" camera to start off my photography portfolio. Once I unboxed the camera, I found it to be much smaller than I had imagined. That immediately turned me off to the camera. After turning it on to play around with it, I noticed what I considered poor image quality on the screen (which surprised me since it's supposed to be 20+ megapixels) and not very many setting options..Very basic functions. I'd say this is a great camera for a teen looking to get started with serious photography but I didn't see much use for it for my intended use so it's been returned. Will save up to invest in a pricier camera that provides more professional grade settings and quality.
