Absolutely amazed with the performance and zoom. My case of DALR’s and lenses are already gathering dust. It’s a little heavier then I prefer, but it’s still lighter then 2 camera bodies and a dozen lenses. With the tech in these new point and shoots, I think DSLR’s will soon go the way of the film camera.

Have, yet, to give it a full test drive but what I've done so far has been great. The zoom is awsome! camera operates smoothely and setup is a snap.

I purchased this as a backup camera for my other Nikon. I find that I'm taking it more often just because it has such a reach and is much more convenient. I recently took baptism pictures with it and the built in flash worked great. It is heavy so be prepared for that. Also you will need a mono or tripod for the full extension of the lens.

All I can say is just amazing! Beautiful pictures and awesome zoom! It’s a little on the heavy side but of course it’s going to be with this kind of lens. I have had it for a year now with no issues I would recommend to anyone.

Yes, it will give you excellent photos of the moon and you will also get close ups of Venus. However, I haven't been able to take a great photo of Venus.. An all in one which makes it easy to carry with no need to change lenses. It's a great value for the everyday shutterbug...

This is the best point and shoot money can buy. The only draw back is that it's heavy.

Love the camera, the amazing zoom capability and the high quality photos!! The weight of the camera can get a bit heavy at times if I am moving around a lot trying to get quick photos. I just have to be aware of that factor and adjust my photography needs.

I am a occasional photo hobbyist and wanted distance to get that shoot of the bird in the top of the tree. This camera delivers that. It was cheaper than a telescoping lens for my other camera. It is a bit heavy when fully zoomed so a singlepod or tripod is recommended for that special picture.

I am a retired Marine Combat Photographer, and I WISH I had this camera back in VietNam, or on Coast Guard Auxiliary Photo duty. It is was Weather Proof would be wonderful, but I have not heard of any failures so far in five years it ahs been available. I focus from 1/5 inch to the moon. I have Lumix 4/3 with 100-400 zoom and it is 6 ounces heavier! The Stablization is good as my Lumix G9.

Unbelievable what you can see through this lease. I am having so much fun trying out new shots. Recently took a picture of a bird in a tree. After reviewing the photo I could see the legs of the bug it was eating. Just amazing!

I just recently purchased ...so far I really like it. I love photographing moon rises and close up wildlife. The camera is heavier than I expected. I also have a mirrorless Panasonic Lumix with a 60x zoom...which is so much lighter.

Excellent camera with a 3000MM zoom lens (125 times magnification) and takes a nice macro photo. Photos and videos at 200 yards were very good. Best Buy delivery was excellent.

Very good Telescopic Camera for the Price Range, It is a complete Device and only offer Lens Filters. The Auto Focus is okay, but very easy to use manual. Took it to Denali, and was able to see the fluff on the Mountain Goats from the trail not even at full Zoom. If the Sky is Clear, It can take pictures of the moon in great details. Warning, it is a Large and Heavy camera, but for the price, You'll be hard pressed to find a more capable camera right out of the box. Or even a Lens for the same price. *** Highly Recommend extra batteries, battery life is about 3 hours per charge ***

Showing off this camera's zoom capability to your friends/family never gets old. I've never taken so many videos/pics of the moon. The only warning I have is DO NOT go cheap when buying a tripod, which is necessary to get the most out of the zoom feature. You'll want to get a heavy duty tripod with a fluid head. I also highly recommend getting the remote for it, almost necessary to zoom in/out without touching the camera to avoid getting shaky footage while at max zoom.
