Bought this on sale so it was a super bonus to get all the features this camera has to offer in one compact package.

If you are considering an upgrade to your camera, this is a sound choice. Moderately priced, easy to operate, and takes high quality pictures.

Does what it is designed for. More options than the basic point and shoot. Easy to use and the view finder is great for outside cause the LCD is very hard to see in bright light. However, when using the view finder you need to bring the subject in a little closer than you think to get the shot to come out the way you want.

For those of you looking to upgrade from a point and shoot, but, don't want a DSLR, this is the one for you. Because I do lots of bird photography, the 42x zoom allows me to reach out to capture the subjects without their knowledge. It's no wonder that there are so many of these out there now.

O.K. I am not a camera buff - just someone who wants to capture the moment so I can have the visual to revisit. This camera works well for me. I have not had any trouble understanding the directions in the manual and have enjoyed experimenting with the different settings. If you want a diagnostic review - I'm not your gal, but for those neophytes in the audience, this is a great choice.

Thank you Nikon! This was perfect for the birth of my son. The pictures are such high quality for a camera that is very simple to use. Most large cameras are intimidating, but I could explain how to use in just a few seconds, which allowed me to BE in the pictures instead of always being the one taking them. Thanks again!
