Bought this camera for our trip to Aruba. Great pictures, downloaded the app to my phone and was able to wirelessly transfer the photos to my phone and post from my phone. Great quality pictures for a point and shoot. Just push the shutter halfway and the focus is automatic.

I really love this camera. I bought it for my Vegas trip and was not disappointed. This camera takes excellent motion and still pictures. Also the night pics look good as well. I have lots of great shots of the strip.

It's hard to make clear pictures at maximum zoom without a tripod. I would recomend the camera, but with reservations.

If she took 1900 pics, it must be easy to use. She was very pleased.

I have been taking pictures with my iPhone 6, which generally takes great pictures, but has no optical zoom. I missed that when I had the opportunity to see rare whooping cranes and wanted something with a true optical zoom. Having owned a Nikon point and shoot before, I wanted to stay with that brand. Online I looked at the Coolpix S7000 (20x zoom) and the S9900 (30x zoom), as well as a couple of other brands. I had decided to get the S9900. However, when I tried both in the store, I found the S7000 to be much easier to focus and keep steady on the zoom settings. 20x zoom seemed more than sufficient, plus the S7000 is much smaller and lighter than the S9900, so I went with that and I'm very happy with the camera. It is small enough to carry around like a smartphone, yet has an excellent zoom. The only thing the camera lacks is a built in GPS. I've posted two photos for comparison. Both are taken from the same vantage point, on top of a high rise building. One is without any zoom. There is a low rise building between the two high rises in the center of the picture. In the other photo, I zoomed in on the low rise building to illustrate the zoom. I was impressed with the result. One point I'd make is that I turned off the digital zoom, because digital has a tendency to blur a photo on any camera, so the zoomed picture here was taken using the optical zoom only. Pros: Small, lightweight, 20x digital zoom, wifi enabled (easy to see pictures on iPad), ability to crop or edit photos on camera, good video quality Cons: Only one, no built in GPS

Absolutely the best camera I have ever owned. Ease of operation--top notch. I have own many cameras in so much as I would buy a new one every year. Yes, every year trying to find the best one that would produce the results I need for my work. Producing technical reports that are relied upon for life and death situation. The Coolpix S7000 quality is second to none. I have some of the so-call, best camera, paying more than $1,000.00 each. Coolpix S7000 has simple instruction, easy to handle, simple to operate, and great pricing. The S7000 produces high quality photo’s that I use in my technical reports that stand on their own in court. When corresponding over the internet the customers continually comment on the photo's; and ask if I had a professional photographer take them. This is just plane and simple a "Great Camera" !! You Guys and Girls, did a super job in development; producing a great all-around camera at a great price. Kudos to you-- Thanks

Fantastic tiny piece of great engineering

I did EXTENSIVE online research and narrowed down my choices before going to Best Buy to see the cameras in person. I have always been a Nikon gal but walked in the doors with notes to check each of the brands out with no preconceived opinions. Canon lost out because of the inability to turn the flash off on their similarly priced models (SX610). Really Canon? Really? My husband actually liked the Canon feel better but once I pointed out the flash, he supported my decision to bring the Nikon home. Once home, I was amazed at how many unadvertised bells and whistles were included in this tiny package. Cropping and filters inside the camera were an exciting discovery and they don't overwrite the original file! This morning I took the S7000 outside with my D200 and shot the same exact shot with each. See image comparison. The macro setting is amazing. AMAZING! Thank you Nikon for giving me something fun to play with on vacation so I can leave my big cameras safely at home.

Easy to use, offers a lot of features typically found in more expensive cameras. Wi Fi required assistance from my teen LOL! Takes great pictures from most distances though I find close ups are not always easy to focus. Great camera for the price!

I purchased the camera to take photos at Augusta National Golf Course. It is handy to carry in my pocket and very easy to use. Very good photos. I had to call customer service to to use WiFi and to download photos to my computer. Neither one of these issues was covered adequately in the manual that comes with the camera.

This is a great pocket camera, it has a good zoom, I have not had a chance to really play with it and see what all the functions will do. It is easy to carry around, Charging the camera is a pain and you are forced to buy a battery charger ($40) if you do not want to charge through the camera itself. Also you are forced to buy another battery ($40) to have a spare battery available (all Nikons have different size batteries) I do not like the nickel and dime situation

Camera easy to use out of the box. large, bright viewing screen. Long zoom especially good for use at events and graduations. Downside is the software, transferring pictures from camera somewhat simple if the default locations and file names are used. Selecting your own locations and naming files is complex. Editing is complicated and instructions incomplete and assume you are an expert.

We purchased this camera for a planned vacation to Ireland. We wanted something that would produce quality photos and videos, be compact so that the case could fit in a jacket pocket, would be easy to use, and have a substantial zoom capability. After reading the reviews and examining the camera, it seemed to meet all of our criteria at a reasonable cost. We used it on our trip and were very satisfied with the results. Looking forward to exploring some of the other capabilities of this camera.

I looked at several cameras from various manufacturers that were priced in the same general price range. I was looking for a camera that would be reliable and easy to operate without being overly large and bulky. The Nikon Coolpix S7000 had a small footprint, was not very heavy, and was easy to carry. The camera controls are mostly intuitive, but some reading of the manual and illustrations is necessary. The camera does not come with a memory card. A memory card will need to be purchased separately.

I bought this Nikon point & shoot for my wife, who was looking for a small, "real" camera to keep in her purse and take better quality photos than her iPhone. This little beast does not disappoint. Like all Nikon cameras, it has a great lens, excellent system, great zoom, and takes great photos. The fact that it is WiFi capable, and can beam photos just like my much pricier Nikon DSLR, is a major added bonus that helps us share photos with friends and other parents, etc. Yes, it's a bit delicate to the touch; definitely not as rugged as some other point & shoots I've bought for bumpy, outdoor uses -- but it is the perfect little camera to take along to dinners, parties, concerts, etc.
