Unfortunately the quality underwater is terrible. You cannot get it to focus and the pictures all look like toy are in a thick fog. We tried every setting the camera had to correct this and it never improved. The only cool picts it took were when we had it 1/2 in the water and 1/2 out, but that wasn't the reason I wanted it. For the $$, keep searching! I found at a $14 waterproof "bag" for my cell phone was SO much better.

The seal failed once and it was covered under the warranty. Literally the next time he used it in the water the seal malfunctioned again, the camera was ruined and because it was out of warranty, he no longer has a camera.
