They have really made this camera for all. Light and small enough to bring anywhere. Great auto and photo features. No need to go up to the 5300...if you think you need the power get the 7000 series

This is my first DSLR camera and I'm very pleased with it. I researched a bunch of other cameras before deciding on this one. I love the entry level that Nikon provides. They iterated on their prior entry level models. They made some nice improvements including to their lens technology. I'm learning all about the camera and it's going to be great to document my three kids as they grow up.

All things considered, the Nikon D3300 seemed like the right combination of features for me of size, capability, quality, time-tested performance, and price at Best Buy.

I found the Nikon to be very user friendly. Setup was very easy basically plug and play. Auto-focus is very easy and doesn't require to hold the camera still for an extended time. Fast and responsive between menu's and changing modes. very nice camera and worth more then the cost.

If you like to photoshop your picture a lot, this camera has great pixels that help you a lot with that.

I take action shots for my job and this camera does a great job at it. The picture quality is great.
