The BEST entry-level DSLR available!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to keep this short and sweet, the Nikon D3300 is the best entry-level camera that you can buy. At a sweet price point under $500, and spectacular specs and performance, you can see why other tech sites garnished this as the best DSLR under $1000. The high megapixel count allows for sharp images, and the upgraded sensor and software allow for fast performance without any cuts to the outcome of the pictures you're taking. I have taken all my pictures so far with the 18-55 kit lens, and plan on purchasing the 35mm prime 1.8G soon to get better portraits and urban photography!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CAMERA!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first DSLR camera and although I am still learning how to use it, I have been snapping beautiful photos since the first day I bought it! You do not have to be a pro to use this camera, the automatic modes work great! I may or may not learn how to use the manual mode because there are so many automatic modes! I am sad I waited so long to buy one, I thought only professionals could take pictures with these, I was very wrong. I am so glad I purchased this camera, I definitely would recommend it to anyone who appreciates quality photos without the expensive photographer!

Nice camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice camera and easy to use. In the beginning I did not like the fact that it omitted to option to take bracket images (HDR), but soon realized that it wasn't necessary. Great camera for beginners.

Excellent camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great beginner dslr. I managed to get it for under $400, and I do not regret the purchase at all. I previously had a d3100 and a d5200. This camera has almost the same features as the 5200, but a few hundred dollars cheaper. Lenses all work between the models. I use a 50mm prime and 35mm prime as well as a 55-200 super zoom. This camera has yet to produce a disappointing picture. If you are just getting into photography or are an experienced photographer, this would be a great purchase for you. Even for a pro, I would highly recommend this as a beater/secondary camera.

Great general purpose digital camera value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera with 18–55mm VR lens: Good color and contrast details with true-to-life details under the various settings. The 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor is responsive and gives good clarity for the majority of non-professional needs. The 18 - 55 mm AF-S DX NIKKOR VR II lens is a good option for most situations. Additional lenses are available. A variety of scene modes and special effects allow you to customize the settings depending on the situation. The cold- and shock-resistant design shields the camera against accidental drops and the elements.

great for beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am still getting used to the manual settings and all that this camera can do, but in auto mode I am already taking pictures that are light years beyond what I was taking with my simple point and shoot. Color and sharpness are so clear. Can't wait to develop greater proficiency to be able to use more of the features of this camera.

Wonderful for family adventures
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son used one of these cameras when on backpacking trips with school and loved the range of options for photos. We purchased ours for a trip to San Francisco and found it to be perfect for both close ups and landscape. Plenty of optional accessories are available, but the base model is all I will use for a while.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a new camera for me so I am not totally familiar with what the extent of what it can do. Very good camera and value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the camera. It my second Nikon camera. I have owned a Nikon D40, which I bought in 2007 and used for 8 years. The experience of buying my new camera was an ordeal. I went to Best Buy store where I waited more than 45 minutes with no one helping. I ended up going to another store in Orange, 20 minutes away where the gentleman who helped was very helpful and patient. They did not have the camera I wanted on stock, which prompted him to call Trumbull Hawley Store, which had 1 camera in stock; he could not get a person on the phone for more than 15 minutes, but he was patient enough until he ensured I could place the order. Thumbs down to Trumbull Store. Thumbs up to the gentleman in the store in Orange, CT.
