This was my first dslr camera. I'm really having a blast with it. It takes clear beautiful shots.

This is a good camera for a beginner. I would suggest viewing Nikon's videos for tips. One Con., the straps could be a bit more secure.

It can be intimidating for someone new to a DSLR, but the menus and user guides are easy to follow.

The Nikon D3300 takes sharp colorful photos. The kit lens was quick to focus, silent and sharp.

Excellent choice for new entry level photography. It provides a solid photo taken experience. The pictures are of solid quality. The controls and functions can be mastered over time. The value is worth it especially when Best Buy is having a sale on Nikon dslr cameras.

I bought this for my daughter. She had a Coolpix, but has been reading up on my D600 and 800, and thought since she's been shooting point and shoot for three years she was ready. The great thing about the 3300 is that it is lightweight, which compares to point and shoot cameras, it has the same features of auto focus, etc, but then allows you to dive into different areas of photography at your own pace. Highly recommend

Though this camera is an entry level unit, as a digital camera, it is lightweight and accepts many Nikon lenses. We needed a very light weight , compact unit for use in the operating room to take publication quality shots and this versatile unit fills the bill.
