I was looking to buy my first DSLR and did not wanted to spend a lot. Nikon D3300 fit all my requirements as it is easy to use and excellent picture quality. Since I knew nothing about DSLRs, user manual was easy to read and understand. This buy was worth for me at the given price. For beginners like me, this seems to be best buy. I may buy a higher end model next time but for startup , this is best.

I was quite confused on which camera I should get but the reviews were really positive and I like simple. The camera takes great pictures even when you're not so still. The quality looks professional and I used it on vacation. It brought a different quality to the pictures. It's very easy to use.The features are simple and versatile. The handbook is very helpful and they have online school if available in your area. I was very satisfied with this purchase and my only regret is I didn't but it sooner.

When shopping for cameras there were so many to choose from! After a lot of research I finally decided on the Nikon DSLR 3300. This camera offers so many ways to use it. It comes with the Auto function so you can use it as a simple point and click camera or you can switch it into the Manual function and change all the lovely apertures and things that I don't understand how to do yet. The quality of these photos are truly amazing. There is a setting to take pictures of sunsets and the color on the photo are the colors you see through your own eyes. I have always found with all the other cameras I have owned is the color was always different that what I was seeing. Not so with the Nikon DSLR 3300! The ease of use with all the different lenses is a bonus for a person just starting out. It is just a simple button push with a twist to change the lenses. So simple. There are more advanced lenses you can purchase for this camera to enhance your photography experience as well. I highly recommend this camera to everyone. From the beginner to the advanced photographer.

If you are looking to start taking better quality pictures and are just learning about DSLR cameras this is the one for you. I was getting tired of the point and click, they were not giving me the resolution I was wanting nor the amount of focus. After doing some research of my own, as well as talking to other photograph enthusiasts they recommended I start with either the D3100 or the D3300. I choose the D3300 as it had a better focus capabilities as well as better battery life. So far I have used it to take numerous photos and while I am still learning about the camera settings I have noticed a very marked increase in both the focus and quality of the photos. So yes I would recommend this camera to anybody that is wanting to step up the quality of their photos.

my first real camera, DSLR type. what a difference over a sony a5000. glad I returned the sony and got this, I have had many digital cameras thru the years but never a DSLR. all I want is a crystal clear picture on most pictures with a few bad ones here and there. for $299.00 I tried the sony a5000, read the manual and in all auto modes was unable to get it to really work good. despite all the rave reviews I was unimpressed. odd because I have a sony android phone that takes incredible pictures....so I returned the sony a5000 at best buy, forked over $200.00 more and I have a feeling its the best money spent this time around. the nikon d3300 had good ratings, not many focus points or wifi as the similar d5300, also looked at the d7000 but its main difference was weather sealed. the d3300 has 24.2 MP vs 16.1 MP with d7000 and d7000 has faster shutter 1/8000s vs 1/4000s. not being a camera junkie I could not justify any additional expense over the d3300.

Great value for the money, however, the bag was basic at minimum and about what I would expect in a bundle deal. However, the camera is excellent and easy to use with no experience. You can, obviously get better pictures learning how to use the manual features. The 18-55 included lens is good all around for general stuff, however, there are better portrait lenses you may want to consider if you get really into it.

I was blown away by the image quality of this camera and how well it does in low light conditions for the price. Simple camera to use and the settings are extremely user friendly. I would suggest getting the Wu-1a along with this camera for easy and fast photo transfers.

Very satisfied with Nikon. I used to play around a lot with photography but now that everything is digital I was pretty clueless. I have only had the camera for a couple months, haven't played with it a ton but very happy with the ease of use, lite weight, good size for my small hand. My 9 year old can use it.

Gave this camera to my wife for Christmas and she loved it! The features on this camera are fantastic, the built in guide is extremely handy, and the picture quality is as good, if not better, than many that cost twice as much. The camera is very easy to use by the beginner. Overall this camera is an extremely good value purchase.

I'm a beginner. I bought this camera for a class that I am taking. It's nice and easy to use. Has some great features. It's not too heavy to carry around with you. You will need a better lens, but that seems to be the norm when buying a set. I have not used this camera much. I will be using it a lot in the next month or so.

I have used canon cameras most of the time, but I took a chance on buying the Nikon D3300 and happy that I did . Controls are a little different but easy to learn. Takes great pictures so far. Couple extra features which I sure I will learn. So far I'am happy with my purchase.

I've wanted a DSLR for years. I've never taken a photography course, but I love taking photos. I live in Hawaii, and since my first grandchild was recently born, I thought that it was no better time to upgrade to a DSLR. I chose a Nikon for two reasons. First, I've had Nikon cameras before and loved them. Second, I found many more positive reviews/comparisons when I was looking at similarly priced and equipped Nikon and Canon cameras.
My wife didn't see the reason for another "expensive" camera...until she saw the photos I took of our new granddaughter. They're amazing, and my daughter had prints framed the first weekend that we were visiting. This camera has plenty of useful features for the experienced photographer, but it's not overwhelming for the novice. Like most every other camera out there, you can let the camera chose your settings for you, or you can tweak just about everything to get the exact settings to capture that perfect moment in time. There are lots of free tutorials and "how to" instructions online to teach you how to best use your camera, but I've learned that the best tutorial is trail and error. I used to use photo editing software to make a few changes here and there to improve my photos, but I've been able to consistently take better unedited photos with my D3300 than I have with any point and shoot camera and the best software out there.
In addition to the myriad of features built into the camera, you can open up a world of other possibilities with the optional lenses and accessories offered for this model camera. Lastly, I'm very happy that I made my purchase from Best Buy because the sales associate was very knowledgeable and able to suggest the right camera and lens for my needs.

We are at a time of the "cell phone" camera. They work real well, convenient creative... and if your doing selfies and taking pictures of your food, maybe his is not for you. I wanted to get a little more serious taking pictures kids doing sports, family vacation etc. after doing some research and talking to some people I bought the Nikon D3300. Wow what have I been doing all this time. This camera is fantastic, I feel like a professional I'm watching videos on you tube, bought some accessories. This camera is easy to operate, it's fun, it makes you want to do more with it.

I am a beginner and bought a dlsr for the first time. I was considering the D7000 vs D5200 vs D3300 for my price range (under $650). After reviewing all specifications and multiple discussions with specialists i finally decided to get the D3300.
I love the camera and am still in the process of figuring out how to make the best of it,. Overall, its very well equipped and i love it ! I recommend this to all beginners as it has more than the specifications required at this level and has the most reasonable price range.

Spent a fair amount of time researching this purchase. I preferred the Nikon to a Canon for the increased pixels and image quality, though I've used a T5i before and it's got a lot to offer too. The D3300 is a great choice at this price point. The main difference from the D5200 is the swivel screen, which is best used for high and low angle shots. Plus, I'm finding I mostly use the viewfinder. The integrated wifi on the D5300 is nice for quickly transferring photos, but I don't mind using the wireless adapter that came with my bundle
I've had the camera for a month now and taken a few hundred photos in varying light conditions. The D3300 has performed very well. I mostly shoot family pictures with the kids, but also some landscapes. For an entry-level DSLR, I'm impressed.

I got this camera mainly for my wife but knowing I would use myself as well. We have used digital cameras in the past but this was our first entry into DSLRs. The camera is very easy to setup and use. We have been experimenting with the different settings and they really make a difference compared to a phone. Nikon offers plenty of resources to get better at taking pictures and this camera is definitely worth the investment. Although, a better lens will take better pictures, but the stock one provide is a great starter.
