It's light enough to take for walks without sacrificing amazing picture quality. The addition of Bluetooth picture transfers on the fly makes it super easy to share pictures in the moment. Excellent entry level DSLR

Image quality is amazing and the camera is easy to use. I did end up returning this camera for the D5500 since I wanted the touch screen, but comparing the two cameras, you will get very very similar image quality.

A Good Starting Camera

The weight is great to take around to different places without having something cumbersome tethered to you. Do yourself a favor and invest in either a 35mm or 50mm lens though to shoot with, and then thank me later.

Easy to use out of the box

We are using f-stop and aperture settings pretty easy to get better photos than a phone. Drops pictures to my wife's phone via Bluetooth and she can post and send to other Moms. Very happy overall.
