The camera is very nice. It is/was a gift and I have started to take pictures more often with it, but it has a lot of features that may take a while to understand and enjoy. I haven't printed out any pictures as of yet and I think that will be the true test, but as I view them, they seem quite clear. I love taking random shots of unusual subjects so I am truly looking forward to having the time to do so. It IS by far the nicest camera I have owned.

I bought this for my girlfriend who is new to photography and she loves the quality, focus, size, and easy to function settings. For the price we have been able to add a durable bag, 64gb card, polarizer, and an extra lens all under $1,000

Its. 24MP, get a really good portrait lense and see tha magic of this sensor! I would suggest a Nikon 50mm either 1.8 or 1.4. I basically use Sigma Art with D7200, tried the same with this 3400 and it’s really sharp and crisp! One of the best entry level DSLR

I purchased this camera to replace a Canon powershot. I am NOT a photographer and use the camera in 'auto' mode most of the time. I was very surprised when looking at pictures I took of my Aunts 70th birthday party. They had depth, color, and clarity you'd expect from a professional photographer. I did nothing but push the button. Pros: Takes beautiful pictures with little effort. Cons: The wireless feature has little value and is more of a time sink. Wireless performance is slow and consumes battery with little value returned.

So far I am loving this camera. I am new to DSLRs and still learning how to use it, but I love experimenting with the different manual modes and changing things to see how the photos turn out. Lightweight camera is easy to hold as well.

this is a basic dslr camera with a good stock lens of 18-55mm. This will allow to take decent wide angle shots and closeups. the lens quality is independent of the camera body so the quality of the picture is as good as the lens. it has options for bluetooth transfer of pictures in jpeg(snapbridge) feature. it can also save in raw+jpeg format(this takes more battery).my pictures have come out excellent so far of landscapes and family photos. Maybe not the best if you need some fancy video recording features or time lapse.

Nice camera for a beginner. I’m still learning mine. It does have a lot of options that I’m not sure I will ever use but it takes wonderful pictures that put our best of the best camera phones to shame

It's an easy to use camera, not at all heavy. Teamed with a 55-200mm VRII lens makes a useful combination. I can take portrait shoots as well as catching smallish birds up close. I miss the GPS function that is so informative on my Coolpix P510. Snap bridge is a disappointment because the auto download can only transmit 2MB images. Lack of remote control quickly encouraged me to buy a D7200. A rotating screen would be useful. Sometimes the sun completely blacks it out and a rotating screen might be able to counter that problem. Limitation of compatibility to AF-P and AF-S lenses means some older lens without an internal focus motor can only be manually focused. Overall I would recommend it to someone wanting to start using a DSLR.

I got this camera because a friend of my recommended to me as a beginner. As I am learning from scratch, this is easy to use. Also, it has nice performance / price ratio given its great features.
