Great camera as a transition from entry level range. Not a full frame, but gives a taste of a professional camera. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. Pros: 10fps, high ISO, 4K video. Cons: no GPS, autofocus performance in video mode, low resolution.

I love the image quality, body design, build quality, feel, touch screen, AF speed, ease of use, and more. My only complaint at this point: I wish Nikon has included a built in flash or provided some options to enable commander mode for remote flash.

Great camera. Amazing picture quality and easy to use. The touch screen is ok for viewing photos but it's not usable in the menus when it's needed. It's a wildlife beast. Can be difficult to focus on small birds on branches or grass.

Great buy. Was looking at a lower model and then found a price I liked online. Was ready to buy online, but first asked Best Buy to price match. Turns out they saved me $400 off the internet price I found and more than that on their in-store price.....

This is one of the best cameras ever. Ease of use helps. Comparing with my other cameras, this camera stands above the others.

The auto focus on this beast is a dream!! The rapid fire shooting will make you smile! Along with the best DX lens they make.

I upgraded from a D5500 to this, so I am blown away with the speed and sharpness of the pictures. I have had this camera for a month now and still have not learned everything it has to offer! The only downfall I have to this camera is that the snap bridge app is not great at all. I ended up buying an apple SD card adapter which is lightning fast and I don't have to be connected to wifi to get the photos off the memory card. Besides that, that is the bad thing I have to say about this camera

Love the ability of this camera to produce very usable photos in low light music venues with little or no stage lighting. The extra reach with the crop sensor is a real plus for Surf Pictures. I have friends who can't understand why I didn't get the d750. I just can't see a quality difference, in fact, the d500 produces much better pictures in low light than my friends FF Canon.

Nikon - D500 Dslr Camera With 16-80mm Lens - Black is a long awaited camera that sits at the top of the DX line of cameras. It is very similar to the top of the line full frame Nikon D5 but with a smaller sensor. I like the lower weight. The 16 to 80 mm lens is a new addition to the kit lens type of zoom and combined with the new AF Fine Tune is a dream come true. Awesome kit!

Nikon D500 exceeded my expectations. It does it all from portraiture to action sports and everything in between. Not having a built in flash is something I was concerned about but haven't even noticed it missing. The crop sensor was another reason I was hesitant, but again it has been a non-issue. The Nikon D500 is an incredible camera that would not hestitate to recommend.

I was shooting with a D7100 that was giving me great pictures, but I wanted a faster focus and more frames per second, so I bought the D500. The focus is 2nd to none and the 10 fps is great, but no matter what I did the pictures were not that great looking. The pictures seemed to lack that certain POP and the colors were off just ever slightly. I even tried several different lens, but nothing helped. I really wanted to like the D500, but I was getting much better pictures with my old D7100. After a month of trying to get the D500 to perform as I wanted I finally gave up and returned it to Best Buy and bought a D750 and only after the 1st couple of pictures I found what I had been missing in the D500. The D750 ROCKS!!!

If you are reading this and wondering if you should make the move to this camera.....DO IT! I pulled the trigger about 3 weeks ago and have been absolutely loving it! There is so much to say but I will summarize it all by saying - I live this camera and am so happy with the images and video it is capturing! Thanks Nikon!!

Best of the best and forget the rest. You get what you pay for. Was gonna buy this from another source for a trip to Africa and just stopped in to Best Buy to look at and have price matched. Think they screwed up cause I was gonna pay $2200, and they came in at $1800 w/lens. Bought on the spot. Moral of story, always ask for price match...

I own a Nikon D750 and it's a great camera for everything except long distance wildlife or speed shooting. I decided to buy the D500 to fill that gap and it does wonderfully. I find myself shooting with the D500 more than the D750 because it's such a great camera. Carrying both of these bodies in my bag covers anything I need to shoot.

I have had this camera for a few months now. I am always amazed at its function and versatility. Truly a great camera. Matched with 16-80mm lens it is sharp and precise. I have a few other Nikkor lens that I use and still looking for a few more on the grocery list. I am very very pleased with this camera.

Definitely a great camera and lens combo for action or sports shots. Upgraded from a Nikon 7000 and no reason to look back...everything about this camera is an upgrade over the 7-71-and 7200 Nikons.
