Tough Choice between DX and FX
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read all reviews comparing the DX 500 to the FX 750 and went with the 500 as opposed to waiting for the likely D760 FX. I have DX lenses so the choice was made a bit easier. Since a recent purchase, I am still evaluating hands-on but expect great results. I am sure it will be a tougher choice when the D760 releases.

The quality of images is great.

This is used mainly for bird photos but I used it a few days ago at the Skagit tulip fields and was very impressed at the quality of the photos. Colors were accurate and detail wonderful for the flowers.

Great camera. Stinky app

High ISO capabilities enable great shots under difficult lighting situations. The Bluetooth file transfers to phone are slow, and faster wifi transfers are only allowed for videos. I haven't found much practical use for the app yet. Have taken some seriously nice photos with this camera - from action shots indoor and outdoor to delicate macros. Kit lens is pretty fast - but I wish Nikon made a DX f/2.8 tele-zoom in place of the ridiculously heavy and huge 70-200 f/2.8. (50-150mm f/2.8 would seem to be a better range)
