    This was my first ever digital SLR. I usually always went with the old point and shoot cameras because I just wasn't a picture taker. After a few friends showed me some of the shots they were able to take and telling them some shots I wished I could take they told me to invest in a DSLR. Now that I have the fun has just begun!

    This camera has been awesome! We got this camera since we travel a lot and have loved taking it everywhere with us. We watched a few videos online to get a better feel of the camera and that really helped. The camera isn't too bulky or big either so we have been able to take the camera everywhere with us and take some great pictures. I am planning to have this camera for years to come.

    Great camera for a beginner with easy to choose dials with Sports and Macro modes as well as others. The screen folds in so it's protected when not in use. Easy to use and reat for a beginning Photographer!

    I bought this camera for my son's first SLR. With the data back showing ASA, apature and shutter speed it is very easy to teach new photographers about settings. My son loves the camera and has been using it a lot. The sign of a good camera.

    This is my first DSLR camera and I bought it on a holiday vacation. I didn't have to worry about the manual settings as the auto mode works beautifully. I'm now going to start working on the manual mode as well.

    Its perfect if you have not seen 5500 or if you have price constraint.. d5500 has slight edge over it and hencd i did an exchange... both dslrs are top nikon entry level dslr and unbeatable..
