Be sure to invest in the fastest SD cards. I tried both slower and fastest cards. The faster cards allow the camera to take pictures much quicker. Used the camera to take ice hockey photos. Batter life is great, but invest in a second battery, you dont want to be in the position of low or dead battery.

I would like to have had a book for reference . I will need to order one on line soon, its too hard to go to the computer to look something up.

I am a beginner DSLR user and at first it's a little difficult to use but I read the manual and it started to make sense. I love the picture quality.

Just upgraded and the built in wireless makes picture transfer seemless and much more convenient than moving the card around. The body is solid and you can easily move from simple point and shoot to more complex settings. Great picture resolution and the multi-point focus works well.

I did a lot of shopping for this camera. I settled on this model because of the many features that I was looking for including Wi-Fi ability.

I'm really enjoying my Nikon D5300. The only minus is the kit lens that comes with it. But, take some time to get used to it, learn the settings and then upgrade your lens. This camera is great for social media photo sharing. You can snap high quality pics and easily transfer them to your smart phone. All in all this camera, although pricey, is a great buy.
