After having my Nikon D5100 stolen I needed to purchase another camera. I don't care what anyone says about having cameras on their cell phones, nothing takes pictures like a camera, and my D5300 takes amazing pictures which will last the test of time, greatly improving my ability to show the progress of my family as they grow up.

I am so happy with this camera. It is my first DSLR and the swivel screen really helps take great angles. Recommended for any beginners.

I've only had the camera a few weeks, but it really takes exceptional pictures. Took some pro-looking shots at a Chicago Bulls game. Still getting used to the flip-out screen on the back, which my previous Nikon D60 did not have.

This camera is amazing! A great step-up from my old Canon. I love all of the different features it has, including the special effects. The live-view and viewfinder are both very accurate. The definition of photos, whether super close-up or far away is always super sharp!

I've used the Canon Rebel and I have to say that the settings on this camera are incredibly useful and I don't have to remove the camera from my face in order to change my settings however on this Nikon I do. I chose Nikon over Canon because of the picture quality and that is the only reason and that's why I will deal with this flaw.

This is the first Digital SLR that I have purchased. I have owned 35 mm Nikon SLR;s previously. Been using a Nikon Coolpix over the last 5 years. I have never been disappointed with any of my Nikon cameras. Great picture quality with the 24 mega pixels.

my first photos were amazing. with a little practice and a few online tutorials to show me some of the cameras features, and then it was play time. you can use the auto mode but if you really want to step it up go to manual or use you shutter speed, aperture, iso settings to create amazing images.

This is my first purchase in DSLR category and believe me I don't have any regret. This is the best DSLR to begin with advanced photography. Even in the auto mode, you can take pictures like pro and battery also stays strong even upto 2000 clicks/day. Haven't faced a single issue since purchase.

I reviewed this product on preview.com and also BestBuy.com. We just started using our camera this past weekend on our camping trip. The pictures turned out very nice and were easily transferred to our MacBook Pro. The wifi option worked great for transferring pictures directly to our iPhones too.

This is a great camera. I love the video feature and the flip screen. The wifi feature has also come in handy.

This camera is great for the novice photographer. The pictures are a huge step up from a standard point and shoot camera. A word of advice though. Buy a new lens or two. The stock 18-55 lens is ok to start with, but you will want a new one soon.

It's appears to be great, however I either need to go to a class or do some on line research as I haven't figured out how to use half of the features. Definitely not a camera for first time users. Excited to learn more about it.

Being a novice, this has been a great camera tomlearn digital photography on. It takes really nice pictures, has alot of options and settings, I can eve connect my iphone to it to view pics and take pics remotely. Another thing I like is that you can learn alot about this dslr on the web - very popular and lots of articles. I'd give it 5 stars if they price would come down some for your sake - the camera was new in like 2013 & feel after 3 years it could be priced better...

We purchased this camera for a college students photography class. It was a perfect camera for her to learn on AND also grow with. Large selection of lenses available for purchase separately.

Love the camera. A lot of features love the wifi connection.

This is a very easy to use camera. It has many fun effects you can use while shooting pics or recording video. The only thing I wish it had that it does not is the waterproof seals so you do not have to worry about a splash or a drizzle. They bundle deal is great as well.

I needed to purchase a new DSLR and I am absolutely thrilled with my choice in getting this one.

I'm relatively new to the DSLR world and this camera does everything that I could ask of a camera. The only thing I would add would be a remote due the camera. Still very impressed with the camera and it was a good value.
