We love this camera! The quality of pictures that this camera takes is just amazing. We take the camera wherever we go, because you never know when you'll see something that catches your eye and you just need to take some pictures.

this was a gift and my 4th nikon camera purchased. It has many great features, one that stands out is the wifi transfer of photos to a smart phone. Great 1080p video. Great for trips or to shoot a wedding with. You won't be disappointed.

It is a great camera. This is my first camera into photography and I would highly recommend it. I would also suggest going with a 50 mm prime lens. I did all my shopping through Best Buy and they gave me a really great deals

I am not a professional but needed a quality camera to take my sons sporting events. He wrestles and this camera takes excellent pictures. I love how it Freezes the image with the blurred background. Very Happy with this Camera.

I had a Nikon D5100 and definitely needed an upgrade. Best Buy had an unbeatable price for the D5300 and I'm so glad I didn't hesitate! Works EXTREMELY well with a cheap (under $200) 1.8G lens! I loveee it with my 50mm & 30mm... Extremely simple for a beginner and the quality and price is awesomeee. I had it set for delivery and Best Buy had it packed great and there were no problems or concerns there. Delivered on time and super quick! I would definitely order from them again!

Really happy with this camera. Takes RAW and JPG images, multiple bursts, etc. A ton of options to customize your shots but also the camera itself is intelligent enough in it's automatic settings to get crisp, clear photos.

I love this camera at a glance it is intimidating you would assume you NEED to be a pro to operate it. It is basically self explanatory. It take excellent high resolution pictures. Before buying this camera my family and I would take pictures but we would not develop them because of the bad quality pictures do to the camera. But after purchasing the Nikon 5300 DSLR Camera OMG now we print pictures all the time we even look for any reason just to go take pictures cause of the Profesional looking pictures, and don't get me started on the videos and it's 1080p HIGH DEFINITION . Well let me go is about to rain and there are some beautiful looking clouds that I need to take pictures of, I now if you buy it you WILL ENJOY IT!!!

Photography has been my hobby for over 40 years. This camera is by far the best I have owned. The quality of the pictures is fantastic thanks to the Nikkor lenses. The many features and ease of use make it a great camera for a beginner or an advanced hobbyist.

I love my new purchase! This is my 2nd Nikon in D series. I had a D3000 before. I love the Wifi and video camera features on this one, and also love that I can transfer it all to my phone with the app. My only complaint is that it is sometimes difficult to get the wifi connection on your phone to stay connected during a large transfer. Other than that, this camera is awesome!

Bought this camera a few weeks back and have used it on a few occasions. Although I am a complete novice, the camera seems to take great pics in automatic so far. Hope to try some of the advanced features soon.

I had the Nikon D3100 and recently updated to the 5300. The upgrade is good. It has more features than my previous camera. I do not care for Video, but the Photos have a noticeable increase in quality and it has many more options to discover for an Amateur like me.

This was an upgrade from a lower Fuji brand camera. The 24 MP resolution results in very satisfying photos, the camera was easy to use right out of the box and the wi-fi capability is nice.

being a beginner with digital camera I have trouble with all the buttons but I love the camera and will learn how to use it, and I am going to take a class online and it will be great.

Ok, so I am really an amateur when it come to high end cameras, but my sister is actually a professional photographer and when I discussed this camera with her, she gave it two thumbs up! And now that I own it, I'd say four thumbs up!! So far, I am really happy with it. Complicated enough for the more experience photographers but yet, easy to use in my hands. This is my second Nikon & I love it. Picture quality is awesome! Love the new feature which allows you to share pics via smartphone so you can give them instantly to others.

It is very intuitive and easy to use. I unpacked it and was using almost all its features in no time. The manual is helpful but, even for me that had been using a point and shoot and cellphone cameras for a long while before buying this one, I did not have to read it until I wanted to use more complicated features. Great value!
