NIKON D5300--- I'm stunned by the quality. I'm addicted to this camera. OMG I can't believe I got it for $599. It has WiFi, GPS, 24MP, Foldable viewfinder with free latest AF-P 70-300mm Lens included!!!! It this even possible??. It was such steal deal. Keeping the deal aside, compared to canon, Nikon always wins in every way. Just got for it. Happy clicking!! Thank you best buy! Con: Camera case doesn't come with it.

    Best Camera For The Money

I purchased this while it was still on sale for $599.99...that included both lenses and a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB card. I checked the prices of the lenses alone and found that if you purchased the lenses separately it would be the close to the price of this kit. I am coming from a point and shoot superzoom so this was a big step up for me. I had tried two or three m4rd cameras in the past but I was never satisfied with the low light results. I've found that I can take nice low light photos with this camera after a bit of practice. The only negative to me is the menu navigation. To me it's a bit clunky...especially when changing some of the settings like ISO on the fly. But it's not enough to knock off a star. I've not used the wireless functions yet, but the GPS does work well after you download the agps file from the Nikon website and then update it. After that it locks on within seconds...and stays locked on while you're using the camera. It does take a bit longer to lock on when indoors but that's to be expected. I took the advice of a friend that's used a DSLR for years and set the camera to fully manual. It took a few hit and misses but after a couple of days I was able to take some decent pictures...and now after 3 weeks I'm able to take very good pictures on a regular basis. If you are wanting to move up from a point and shoot to something better, and you're willing to take some time to learn how to use the manual settings, then I highly recommend this camera.

I started out with a Nikon 3100. It was a good camera but I wanted more features. The 5300 had 2 lens with it. The 18-55 had stabilation which is great. It also had a 70-300mm. Extra mm to reach out and get the shot. I have enjoyed the 5300 and it produces great photos.

There are a lot of features that takes a while to learn from but as soon as you start using them you discovered that your limit is in your mind to create great pictures, it is just a excellent tool that put your ideas on an image.

I've had this camera for almost 3 years now and i've enjoyed it the entire time. Its easy to learn how to use and everything is placed in a realistic spot on the camera body. If you're planning to become very serious about photography then I would suggest getting a full frame camera. But if you just need a camera for a hobby, this is a great choice.

This camera is great for photographers who already have some experience, and are looking to step up towards something more professional. There are a lot of settings and options to mess around with and it's great to help learn more about shooting. The video quality is fantastic, it's what I originally bought the camera for, and the photo quality is very high. For the package deal with the extra lense, this camera was a steal.

The D5500 has lots of options that allow users to get the best shot at the right moment. In fact, you don't even have to select the right scene mode since it will do it for you. It's "Scene Recognition System" uses info from the camera’s RGB metering sensor to analyze brightness & color then it compares your shots to other similar shots and then optimizes the camera settings–basically doing all the fun stuff itself. There are 16 scene modes, 7 color modes, and lots of creative filters that you can add to the images after you've taken it. You can also shoot time lapses with fixed intervals for up to 9,999 frames to put together yourself with third party software. The D5500 is absolutely the best sub-$100 camera around.

Awesome camera. Love it’s capabilities. Love being able to sync the pics instantly to my phone. The lens kit allows a variety of capabilities to shoot short distance and extended range. I’ve had it 7 months and have taken several thousand photos already. I love this camera and very happy with it.

Needed to upgrade so I looked around and found this package for a good price. I am a amateur photographer looking for a good intermediate camera to have with me in the car. The camera is well worth the price with the package. This camera was introduced a few years back but has all the features of the newer ones. The pictures quality is great. There are many features to use. You can set for automatic, scenes and of course manual. It is a great camera for beginners and amateurs. I would recommend this camera.

I purchased this camera as an upgrade to my D3100. I like the smaller, more compact lenses and the fact that the sensor is 24 megapixels vs the 14 in my D3100. I bought this because it is almost identical to the D5600 but at a much lower price. Be aware that the 70-300 mm lens in the kit does not have vibration reduction which means that without a tripod you won't be able to get clear pictures. I'm not sure why they even make this lens without VR. The one with VR is $400. I will sell my old 55-300 lens as well as the 70-300 that came in the kit and buy the 70-300 with VR.

What can I say. It takes just as good pictures of most all of the Nikon models until you get to the full format models. A touchscreen would be nice but I understand at this price it’s not going to happen for awhile.

This thing takes great pictures. A bit of a learning curve coming from a simple point and click camera but once you have the basics you can really get some beautiful shots. Battery lasts forever it seems.

The Nikon D5300 is an awesome DSLR!!! I decided to purchase a newer camera to replace my Nikon D90 and this camera is fantastic!!! The Nikon D5300 delivers sharper images and it has an improved body design with a slightly larger viewfinder and a bigger, higher-resolution LCD than the D90. It also has builtin Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities, and incorporates a stereo microphone. Love it!
