Awesome camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy photography. I like to take good photos, so I decided to go for more than a point and shoot camera. This camera has a lot of features that I still can't fathom, I keep finding more and more good. If you are a beginner, it is fairly easy to use. If you are into more deep, serious photography.. It does the job.

great value kit!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model is soon to be replaced by the next model, BUT buying slightly behind the times is a great way to save money. This kit was a great value, bought as a graduation gift for my daughter and she loves it. NOTE: 70-300 lens is not VR, but can't really expect that for the price.

Great camera for photo challenged people like me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No one ever asks me to take pictures because I am so terrible at it!!! This camera makes it almost impossible to take a bad picture. When you are ready to move up from phone photography I highly recommend this camera. Blue tooth and Nikon app also make it so easy to share photos.

Amazing camera for the average user!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the average user this camera is amazing. The clarity is perfect and there are user friendly modes for just about any setting. The swivel touch screen is very convenient. Also, the wifi feature is extremely useful for immediately posting pictures after capturing them.

Great deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything as advertised, pictures are coming along as I learn more and more about taking better pictures. The free deal with Shutterfly never came about as the web site was confusing and didn't give a lot of assistance so that aspect was disappointing.

Daughter's first real camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a graduation present for my daughter. She has always had her phone or small camera for pictures. I am a Nikon fan and knew it was time to get her the real thing! She hasn't stopped taking pictures and truly taken her hobby to the next level!

Very happy to have stepped up to this newer Nikon.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the D 40 and was very pleased with the performance that I have found so far with this camera. Excellent Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera. I have been using the D5500 for about a year now. My husband was ready to go from point and shoot to DSLR so I bought one for him and he has been able to make the transition easily. Couldn't pass up the deal two lens deal.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a mid-level camera as a step up from my Sony. So far this has far exceeded my expectations. Cannot wait to learn how to use some of the aditional features. More compact and less of a stability problem with the larger lens.

Great step up from compact point and shoot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera combo allows flexibility. Two lenses one for close and one for distance. Great picture quality and plenty of room to grow technically. Not as convenient as a pocket camera or a cell phone. But, it has better picture quality.

Great camera but not for mobility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon makes the best DSLR mainly because of no low pass filtering which makes for much sharper images than Canon et all....but...the size of this photog toy is not conducive to random photo shoots especially if you are lugging that telephoto along. But all in all the best DSLR out there for the promo price of the camera and kit lenses...and Best Buy usually has the best overall prices and extended warranty options.

Great camera package!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a Canon for years, which I loved! It finally started dying at inopportune times, so it was time to replace it. This camera has more bells and whistles than my previous Canon, which I am still learning about and experimenting with. My only complaint is that I cannot connect it directly to my phone or the internet - but that may be because I am technologically challenged. Other than that, I LOVE this camera!

Really nice camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm just getting serious about photography, and with alot of research, I was certain that I wanted the Canon D5000 series for the starter, as it has features that will future proof the camera for some time as I learn.
