the D3300 and the D3400 was a good beginning camera for the fanatic ,but the D5500 is in a class of is own , believe once you get a hold of it and go out and take some pictures you will be amaze of what Nikon did to this little piece of technology. Just as good as the D7100 .but not as fast as the 7100 / 7200

Brought with 90 -140 Lense .My first DSLR. Perfect for beginner to intermediate levels. I have extensively used it in all rugged conditions. Also purchased a plain filter cap and camouflaged body cover from amazon. Perfect for family , landscapes , wildlife, outing , indoors. Compact yet powerful. Image quality very much satisfactory
