The Nikon D5500 is a smaller/lighter version and the Image Quality and Features appear are superb , and the touch screen is very useful feature, only drawback the kits lenses are not that useful.

I am very new to using a DSLR. I read reviews for months, and when the review for this came available I decided this was my choice. Very light to hold, even with the lens. A wonderful variety of scenes which I have used with my Nikon P510 that I love. I look forward to many years with my new friend.

With accessories for my Leica T being a little pricey, I bought this camera and an insignia flash. It takes great photos and is very light. The touch screen works well and the battery last for a good amount of pictures.

The camera takes beautiful pictures. It's more complicated than any point and shoot camera, but not so complicated that you need to be a pro to use it. The build quality is excellent. I do not regret this purchase.

The camera is great. But the buying experience was not so good, i ended up paying a a lot more for the bundle. Best Buy offered in their webpage a bundle with the body and a 18-140 lens, and i went to the nearest best buy that had this item in stock (as the webpage suggested), when i arrived they told me they didnt had this bundle and they didnt had neither the body only, so i ended up buying the bundle with a 18-55 lens + an extra lens of 18-140, now, i have a 18-55 i will never use.

The D5500 photos are very high quality, clear and with a real freshness about them. The only downside is the button to use for making time- delay photographs is awkwardly located, but the function works well. I am really pleased with indoor photos taken without using the flash. The D5500 is very well made, in my opinion.

Purchased this camera because it is much more light weight to carry around than my D90. Takes very sharp pictures and wifi feature is great to send pictures to my iPad or iPhone. Highly recommend.

We needed a camera with a fast frame rate for taking pictures of horse shows. This camera is amazing, and we have just started using it. Looked at several others but for the features included this was the best buy. Have always been a Canon buyer but this Nikon is great.

This camera was an upgrade from Nikon D40. This camera has great picture quality, HD video, Wi-fi capability. I'm able to use my smart phone to control camera. Once again, it's a great deal from Best-Buy.

This is my first DSLR camera nikon D5500, coming from point and shoot camera, it's very nice improvement. For auto mode, picture quality is very good specially at night time, background color capturing in very nice and in low light auto ISO is so amazing that pictures look sufficiently bright even without flash. I have to still explore manual modes for which DSLRs are mainly known for, but auto mode is also very good. Recommand to everybody who is new in photography.

This is an excellent camera. It has multiple scenes and effects that I have made this Nikon more than a camera. Flip out screen is very convenient and informative. I love the wifi feature. Great plus to share photos when I am not close to a computer.
