this camera took some effort to learn to use since I am not a trained photographer. the pictures are awesome, and it does everything and more that I wanted it to.

This camera was on sale at a very good price. Some reviews had made negative comments that it was lacking gps option that earlier model had, but with today's smart phones, you can download gps loggers to do the same thing and save on battery power. There is a companion app to use iPhone to wireless trigger photo.

Very good at the price range. The articulating screen is awesome to use. Used it a couple of weeks but returned it and bought a 7200 because i felt that i need a big body (personal preference) to use the zoom lenses but definitely recommend the d5500 to others because of its size and there is no big difference in the picture quality since they are using the same sensor.

It's a great camera from all the camera guro's that I have talked to, still learning the camera but the pictures I have taken came out beautifully.

I have used this camera extensively over the past 6 months. No words to describe but amazing.. Great quality pictures, manual mode and automatic mode works amazing. Photos come out great, and Nikon interface is as usual great. Touch screen is very responsive. The body itself is not very heavy, however, the lenses especially the high zoom ones are. The reason for 4 starts and not 5 is the wi-fi connectivity. It is not a straightforward connection, but needs you to do multiple steps to get photos to your phone/computer. But being a device primarily for capturing photos and not for Wi-Fi connection, it is expected.

I really thought it was a misprint. I have been reading all the program reviews and this seemed like it would be the best in its price range.

I am very happy with the Nikon d5500. I already have the Nikon d7000, but I was looking for something smaller and lighter to cart around. The d5500 meets that need. I'm still getting to know my camera, but so far I like the pictures I have taken. I love having a touch screen and the ability to to transfer photos to my phone with the built in wifi.

We need to upgrade our old DLS and after several days of research I landed on Nikon and this model. Boy its a great camera. Not issues so far

This camera is working great, got the new one when it was on sale; Its working so great, pictures are good and we liked it very much :)

Did quite a bit of research and the D5500 was hands down the best in its category. Also, camera was on sale and I couldn't pass it up.

This camera punches above it weight and cost! The specs and features are all very high and the pop-out flip screen is only available on the model from what I see. My wife and I both own one! Pair this camera with a great lens, hone your skills and you will get professional shots everytime.

I used this camera to take pictures of a skyline at different times and they turned out very good. I am not yet used to all the features though and that was the first time I used a DSLR camera so I am very satisfied.

I had been waiting to buy a decent DSLR and was considering both Canon and Nikon cameras. Canon was considered because I had lenses from my old autofocus Rebel film SLR camera. However after reading reviews and looking at a friend's Nikon D5300 camera, I decided to purchase the new D5500. I found a great deal on the camera from Best Buy at a price I still cannot believe and have yet to see duplicated anywhere again. After reading the manual to understand the basics, I had no problem getting the basics down and look forward to a long relationship with this camera.

Great camera and more features than most beginners need. Will be able to develop into a better photographer with this camera!

We took camera on a once in a lifetime tour of Alaska for 12 days. Camera worked flawlessly and got over 4K; AWESOME pictures.
