I don't know much about dslr cameras but this one was so easy to learn and takes great pictures. We recently used it on our trip to Orlando and I have great pictures of my kids.

I'm just getting back into photography and am really enjoying this camera. My last camera was a Nikon D40 and I love this step up at an affordable price.

Before anyone gets to persnickety about this review, please note I am no camera expert. However, I searched for a nice DSLR to use with a macro lense and ring flash for some clinical (medical) photography for our office. I looked at several options, Nikon and other brands. Relative to the size, weight, features, and basic cost, this camera fit our needs the best. Yes, Canon has some wonderful products, but since we already used a Nikon at the other office, this fit our needs well. We like the auto-focus feature and ability to see the shot on the LCD screen prior to taking it. That last statement was probably preposterous to many reading this, but these features have been noted to be useful by the staff!

This is my first DSLR and I am in love. The lens it came with it is pretty awesome but the zoom in sub par. I will be buying another lens with a better zoom in the next couple of weeks. This is the perfect for learning with and for use while hiking. This is a very light weight camera. I love it~

I've been wanting to buy a DSLR for some time and was looking for options in Nikon. I find this camera is a very good beginner camera with a good kit lens. Lightweight and easy to handle.

All the information is in the menu and well explained. A great addition is the touch screen. Lighter than my old nikon camera. Price is remarkably cheaper than the D7000 model. I was able to use my old zoom lens (18 - 200 mm) from my D200.

This is a fantastic beginner camera. The camera is easy to operate once you have messed around with it for a bit. I went to a website on teaching photography and they laid out everything you needed to know and what to control on you camera. It takes great pictures and it is a fun camera to use. The flip screen can be helpful and it can also get in the way. On one hand it would be nice to be able to see what you are taking pictures of immediately after, but on the other keeping the screen open all the time just doesn't feel right. The one really nice thing about it is you can angle the screen out of the sun without having to move the whole camera. I also highly recommend picking up a 55mm-200mm lens as this will be much more practical to use than the 18mm-50mm lens.

Camera Shoots very well, features are user friendly.

I bought this about two weeks ago and have taken it out twice. It is a huge improvement over my previous DSLR. I paired a 35mm prime lens and it is a great combo. My wife is not into photography and the combo in AUTO produces pretty decent photos on their own. The video part is nice as well.

I was looking for a lighter DSLR for travel, since I carry on my equipment when I travel. I have a Nikon D7200, which I love, but it is a heavy camera for a crop frame. The D5600 is much lighter and has the same 24 mega pixels. I like the touch screen menu that makes changing settings very easy. i like the fold out screen that allows framing and shooting without having to bend low. The 18=55 mm lens is sharp and focuses quickly. The shutter is very quiet. It doesn't have all the features of my D7200, but it's my go to camera when I travel.

at the beginning I wanted to return it because it was so light weight and felt like cheap. but then I started using it with all the features and I love it now. I would recommended. make sure you get the memory card, since it doesn't come with one.

I am a newbie in photography. Originally bought this camera to take casual pictures, since I have always loved photography. It had been a learning experience and love this camera. I have learned a lot and honestly still have a lot more to learn have not fully learned every single button and the use of it but it is a great camera to start with !

For those that are looking to step up their game from novice, this camera is the next level. The lightweight design, easier grip, very easy to use. The 24megapixel and 1080 p video captures the greatest detail and brings your project to the next level. I am a photographer of 15 years and I could not be more satisfied with this camera.
