    After being a user and fan of the NIKON D70, when the camera finally gave up the ghost and NIKON informed me it could not repair it as they no longer have the parts (!!! REALLY? !!!) I did some research and found the D5600 and it is all the D70 ever was and MORE! So simple to use, so many options available, you can go completely Auto or take complete control of your photos. A GREAT camera for beginners, but one that seasoned photographers won't sneer at. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    Ergonomics are excellent due to a large grip. For an APSC sensor the camera is very light--only 15 oz.-- and easy to carry. I like the large LCD screen--3.2 inch is noticeably larger than a 3.--and the full touch screen capability adds greatly to ease of use. My first shots were with the standard kit zoom, which took very pleasing photos in doors and out, in spite of the oft heard criticism of this lens. The absence of excessive buttons and dials on the camera body contribute to its appeal.

    I bought this for my 15 year-old son who is getting into photography and video. He enjoys the versatility and the camera has enough built-in features to accommodate his needs. It would be nice if it shot video in 120fps, but I guess you would need to upgrade to a more expensive model to get this. Photography is where this camera shines and is more than adequate for an advanced user.

    The camera is not heavy and easy to use. Captures the object beautifully. Only concern is the battery life. It needs to be charged often, so we bought additional battery.
