Noise level is much lower than all other cameras I owned, including D7000, which was one of the best in its class. I love the image quality, responsiveness, solid performance and its excellent shallow depth of field effect.

Great camera and image quality, but will be my last BestBuy purchase due to poor customer service from the elite plus membership line for the last time.

I "downsized" from a Nikon D800 due to size, weight, and file size. I am extremely impressed with image quality so far. My D610 is coupled with a 24-120 f4. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Wanted to upgrade from a d3200 to a d7100 or d7200. Tested this out in store and the feel was much better in the hand. Will be using this one for a long time.

    Need to get extra battery

Pre ordered and received this camera 10/31/2013 for a recent purchase of Nikkor 24-70 2.8 lens also from Best Buy. In two weeks time, I used the camera in two occasions and only got around 200 shots for a fully charged battery(should get around 900 shots). Went to Best Buy and was told that they cannot replace the defective battery. Instead, was advised by DCI Jose Sierra to return my $4,000.00 camera set-up so I can get a new $54.00 battery. Unbelievable!

    Sensor Spots

I am a professional photographer and have always used Nikon until now. There was well documented issues with the D600 and this was the supposed fix, but oil spots are still present on the D610. I purchased 2 different D610s and straight out of the box a few hundred shutter clicks and the oil begins to build up. Save yourself time and headache and purchase Canon 6d .
