Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the D7100 DSLR Camera's superior image quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its extensive features and competitive price point, while some note limitations in buffer size and the lack of built-in Wi-Fi. Positive feedback also highlights its strong low-light performance and responsive autofocus system. The camera's lightweight design is another frequently cited advantage.

Best Crop Sensor Camera Currently Available

The D7100 is about as good as it gets for a crop-sensor (DX in Nikonese) camera. Controls are in logical places, and give the user the ability to change settings relatively easily, which results in great images. I was concerned about the small body size (compared to full frame bodies), but it turns out to be a non-issue for me.

I have only had this camera for a few weeks, and am still learning how to use it. I upgraded from a early model DSLR without all the bells and whistles this has. Love the Wi-Fi adapter and android app to use as a remote shutter release and to transfer pics to my phone. This camera has all the features that a serious amateur photographer like myself could have asked for at a really good price. I love it.

Great Camera for the Amateur Photographer

I have used this camera a few times with the lenses I purchased the camera with and the pictures came out good, some not too good but that was user error as I did not focus fully before taking the picture. It takes a little getting used to on the setting adjustments with the push button dials to help prevent accidental moving of the dials. This camera is what I thought it would be and more so far.

What the D7000 should have been

The Nikon D7100 is a great camera. The quality of the 24mp files are a dramatic improvement over the D7000. Low light sensitivity is rated the same as the D7000 but the image quality is much better.

This is a great camera. I was torn b/w buying a full-frame for the same price or a newer model full-frame for 5-600 more. Went with this one so I could afford 2 different lenses. I use the 35 prime and 18-200. I love both lenses.

I've been wanting to upgrade my Nikon D60 for years now, after endless research I am so glad to have picked the D7100! It's a bit heavy for a beginner, but I find comfort in the weight when taking outdoor pictures. It's weather resistant and has amazing raw image capabilities, as well as full 1080 HD filming mode with auto stabilizing. I highly recommend!

I finally got my husband to upgrade my old Nikon to the D7100...so glad he finally did. It has been an easy adjustment from my old camera, to this one. I've been snapping away since I got it! It has all the bells and whistles I need and more! Definitely a great purchase and a great price. I personally recommend buying the body and investing in a lens you desire vs the kit lens.

Had a Nikon D60 SLR and wanted a few more features. Both are great cameras for beginners and trained professionals. I like all the automatic features and the ability to manually operate such a great machine. The pictures are great and you get so much control of the final product. Being able to hold two SD cards is also one of many plus features of the D7100.

Upgraded to this camera from a D3200. Has most of the features of the larger full frame Nikon's without the cost of the body or lenses.

I first purchased the 5300 as a second camera for work. It was a great little beginner camera but was small and not a good choice for my work. I bought the 7100 and really am impressed. Nice camera, substantial size and weight, 2 card slots, good video quality, and of course I can use my old Nikon glass. Good solid camera.

Having previously shot the D100, 200 and 300 I find this camera a natural progression. It's easy to use. Has a nice large image review area. Selecting the various setting options is quick and easy.

My Nikon 7100 replaced my Nikon 7000. Most of the features are the same or very similar. The big difference is about a 10 megapixel increase in the digital file size. This is the feature I like the best.

I purchased this camera to get into the DSLR realm. Amazing pictures , focuses rapidly, I upgraded from a Canon SX40HS which I thought took great pictures already but the difference is tremendous.
