Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the D7100 DSLR Camera's superior image quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its extensive features and competitive price point, while some note limitations in buffer size and the lack of built-in Wi-Fi. Positive feedback also highlights its strong low-light performance and responsive autofocus system. The camera's lightweight design is another frequently cited advantage.

My wife was looking to upgrade her D90 and the D7100 was the right fit for what she uses her camera for. She takes school pictures, action shots at sporting events, and landscape pictures. She has been happy with the results.

I have only had my D7100 for about a week. However, from what I can gather, its autofocus and fps are a step up from my D90. I bought the 28-200 mm lens with it, and it is a great pairing. I tried the 28-300 mm, but it is one heavy piece of glass. Can't wait to go on vacation.

I only have had the camera for a month now but love the results I have seen so far, it has a multitude of options available, just dont care for the control locking of the dial for scenes and picture control. I had my eye on this camera since it came out and finally bought it.

amazing camera, not for the beginner. good choice for a photographer that is growing their business. beautiful images and I love the option to change the K temp instead of using a histogram to adjust color temperature. I don't normally use preset setting but I tried the setting for pets and its wonderful. perfect for portrait photography.

Very impressed with this camera. Upgraded from Nikon D3100 and am a semi-pro photographer, this has a ton more options, is easy to use and has great resolution, mega pixels being 24. Not impressed with battery life, very short, which is what I have read in past reviews also.

This is a very good Camera. I used to have D60 and Upgraded to D7100 after careful study of lot of cameras. The best thing of camera is it has 51 point focus. It also has 6 frame per second burst mode. This along with 5 Photo bracketing helps me a lot in taking excellent photos for HDR. The low light performance of this camera is good.

I got this as a gift for my significant other who had long been needing an upgrade in equipment. She loved it. It was precisely a step above a beginners DSLR and that's what she had wanted. Since, she's bought several lenses and the picturess have been excellent. Absolutely no problems so far a year later!

This camera is amazing! The only reason not to get this camera, is if you need full frame. I would even get this camera over a D600/D610, unless you just need the shallower depth of field that full frame will give you.

Purchased a Nikon D7100 body for my 2nd camera for my photography business. I already have one and love it! Reading a manual is key, and once you've done this you will know how to use this camera!

I am just a beginner , so my review means little. But as a beginner Photographer many of my photos are quality. so if your thinking of the upgrade , go for it. or save for the D600. thats my next camera body.

I bought this camera to take on an upcoming trip. It takes great pictures, the shutter is quiet, and has soo many features (and menus!) I'm already sold on Nikon, so this was a no brainer purchase for me.

While not a professional I am a serious amateur. This camera is, I feel, is an excellent camera for the serious amateur. But is not too challenging for the beginner.

I bought this camera as an upgrade to my Nikon D5100 and I have to say it was worth every penny and a huge step up in features and quality. The big things for me was that it offered 24mp with amazing noise handling up to 6400 ISO and the removal of the AA filter definitely helped with an increase in sharpness. While I loved everything about this camera (and still do) but after I spent two days in Jacksonville walking around the city for about 6 hours each day I quickly realized that the size and bulk wasn't for me. I don't count this as a true negative as that is completely personal taste and dependent on what you spend your time shooting. As I mainly do street photography I have come to appreciate a small and compact body when moving about the streets and in and out of shops. Because of this I did return the camera and pick up a Sony A6000 which I think suits my style better. So as for this camera it is quite amazing and definitely worth every penny. Just have to get it in your hands and do some shooting to see if the size is something you want or care about.

Bought this camera after a year and a half shooting with my first camera, a d3100. I upgraded because I was ready for a more substantial camera with consumer-geared features and capability. The AF and ISO-performance the d7100 offers has been a dream. The custom shooting modes are great, I currently have one devoted solely to a BIF mode. The chances I've had to use the camera in miserable, overcast days at high ISO (6400) have produced images with noise, admittedly, but at such levels that minor noise reduction changes post processing produces awesome results. Additionally, thanks to weather sealing and magnesium alloy frame, I feel much safer taking my camera into rougher conditions than I ever did with the 3100. Not to sell the d3100 short or anything, it's a great camera to learn how to shoot with, but the 7100 offers a great chance to become a more technical and capable photographer. Furthermore, for non-professional photographers or those of us with less-than-deep pockets, the additional 1.3x crop mode gives your lenses an extra bit of reach when you need it.
