Exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone

This camera will give you enough for your needs in the entry level and semi pro level. its a great tool for photography and video. i had the lower entry level before, and this upgrade was worth every penny.

When is was looking to upgrade my D80 is looking for the best value for the money and I found it. Easy to use with all the features I need.

I paired this with the 35mm 1.8 DX lens and I got amazing nighttime shots right out of the box, even handheld. Very happy with my purchase, however if I had the extra $ I would have sprung for the 7200.

I have had the camera for about a month and am very happy with the results. Quality pictures in various situations. Great job of capturing wildlife with the Nikon 28-300 lense.

If you have the glass to match it with this body, then it's a no brainer; get this body! I like the ergonomics, button placements and build quality. The only negative that I could knock it for is its ISO performance. I wouldn't use it pass 3200, you'd lose the details and photos become muddy. Without the low pass filter it could give you razor sharp images, the downside is you also lose some high ISO performance. I use this body for Landscape and Portraits. Low light photography beware!

My wife bought this same camera and fell in love with it. As I shoot primarily video I was reluctant to buy a dslr. However I started messing around with her camera and can't say enough good about it.

I love this camera! It is my first or of it's type and I would not change cameras! Some much fun to use and the pictures are amazing!!

I think I would probably go for the 810 if I were to buy a Nikon again, I'm still getting used to the 7100 but it seems to lack in a few areas for example speed, there seems to be a lot of latency when shooting continuous. It's also not very forgiving when shooting indoor sports, high ISO = very grainy, I think Canon wins out here big time. I also would prefer to have the FX format. Overall, if you have used a Nikon, not a lot of surprises here, its a decent camera.

Met all my expectations. I have had the camera and used it for more than a month now. I use it as a back-up body on photo shoots, and also as main body for Candid and action photos at Concerts (where lighting can be tricky).
