Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the D7100 DSLR Camera's superior image quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its extensive features and competitive price point, while some note limitations in buffer size and the lack of built-in Wi-Fi. Positive feedback also highlights its strong low-light performance and responsive autofocus system. The camera's lightweight design is another frequently cited advantage.

Well what can I say that hasn't been said about this camera Body. I purchased it (Body only) back in December. The capabilities of this DX Body are just amazing. From it's low light capabilities to it's ISO 1000+ ability to capture images with minimal noise to me is just astounding. Sure I could have gone with a D750 or D800 but that wasn't in my budget. The D7100 is priced under $1000 and is a camera that will give you plenty to appreciate.

Fifteen years ago, I was an SLR enthusiast. The only problem I found was lugging the darn thing around everywhere I wanted to take photos. Sightseeing on vacation is one thing, but sometimes you want to eat at a restaurant or hike a trail. If you leave the camera behind, you might end up missing a photo that would capture a great memory. When digital cameras became pocketable and higher quality, I used them exclusively - or my phone, of course. I finally decided to take the plunge back into the (D)SLR waters again and couldn't be happier with the Nikon. Even with old, non-Nikon lenses, the photos are amazingly sharp. Working with the RAW-format files is a dream. The ability to correct under or over-exposed photos in RAW is something incredible. Sure, avoiding operator error would probably help, but sometimes there's only one chance to get the shot and this camera has the oomph to get it - and allow you to correct it in post-processing. It's fast, intuitive, and - although easy to use - certainly has features that have a bit of a learning curve. However, at the end of the day it's a matter of shutter speed, aperture, and light hitting the sensor. At that basic level, this camera has been great (and in use regularly for about month now). Compared side-by-side with a comparable competitor, you win some feature battles and lose others. What you trade off is your preference. Bottom line: I'm happy with it. We'll see how it fares on a vacation where a good point-and-shoot would have normally accompanied me. For those shots at the park, the first day of school, or a foggy morning walk, I'm glad to have it with me to capture the moment.

This is the best available camera in market. At this price it gives competition to full frame cameras. Awesome picture quality. Image usable even at 1600 ISO. It has got super fast focusing and loaded with tons of features

Traded in my Nikon D800 for less complex and more versatile camera. I do mostly landscape and portraits. This camera is easy to use and provide professional results for pictures printed up to 16x24. May be clear at larger print sizes...I just don't print large sizes. Works well with my new eyefi mobi for wireless transmission.

I had a Nikon d3200 and was looking for an upgrade. I like to to take pictures of basketball games and my dog in action. With the added auto focus points and the different auto focus modes, it makes it a lot easier to keep the subject in focus. Pair this body with a nice lens and you'll have great pictures.

This camera is a great upgrade from my D3100. I really like the fact that I saved five hundred dollars off the base price and that it is compatible with all of the lenses that I already have for my D3100. I have already recommended this camera to my friends.

This camera is simple to use in automatic or in sine modes. Then even a few months later there is so much to learn. I have already taken quality pictures that I will treasure for a lifetime.

I decided to invest in the D7100 as an upgrade to my loyal D5100 for a distinct increase in function and use. Every lens I've used with the D5100 is interchangeable which saved me bundles in savings by buying only the D7100 body. With dual memory card slots, commander flash modes, increased clarity in photos, a rich menu of increased options to control the camera in virtually any light source, with a vast source of media for reference or learning experience on the internet ... I am more than satisfied with my choice to buy this camera. The D5100 will remain my sidekick for exploring macro and wielding my 55-300mm zoom while the "everyday" lens for the D7100 is the 35mm fixed prime in low light and all-round use. Battery life is more than sufficient for my needs but I always purchase as backup because it simply makes good sense. Button and function layout is a breeze because the familiarity of the D5100 made it an easy transition, but I will have a endless journey of discovering new ways to capture photos with BOTH cameras. The D7100 feels good in hand with comfortable access to all controls. The ONLY thing I dislike is the push button release on top of the "mode dial" on top left of camera. I can EASILY live with that one quirk. I cannot give a fair review on video capabilities as this is not the primary or secondary intended use of my cameras Both cameras fit comfortable in my LowePro backpack that also fits just right in the trunk of my touring motorcycle. These two cams go with me EVERYWHERE. The possibilities and potential for this camera is limited ONLY by the imagination and experience of the one that uses it.

From my background using film camera and later point and shoot digital cameras, I find the D7100 to have all the features I will ever need and many I probably will not use, but nice to have. I wanted something more than the more basic D3300 or D5500 and the D7100 fills that need. Not only is it a great still camera, but also a very capable video camera. The newer model D7200 has a built in Wi-Fi module, but that is something I will never have a use for and if I did you can get a Wi-Fi unit that plugs into the D7100. The D7100 has more pixels than the earlier D7000, so I feel the upgrade to the D7100 is worth it.

I have been shooting with a Nikon D90 for years and decided to move up to the D7100. The camera functions almost the same as my D90 and works with all of my old Nikon lenses. I am truly amazed by the image quality of the D7100. The increase in resolution is easily noticeable. The RAW files are much bigger too, so I had to buy new SD cards and beefed up my photo archive hard drive, but it's definitely worth it! The only negative I can find about this camera is the battery life. Compared to the D90 that could go for a few days between charging, the D7100 is a power hog. I was able to squeeze out a full day of shooting with it, but just barely. I think I'll need to carry a spare battery in the future. Not much of a show stopper but it's worth knowing, especially if you plan on using this for something like wedding photography.

I took this camera to San Francisco three days out of the box to see what she could do; and boy was I impressed. I took most pictures with the auto focus and vibration reduction (VR) on, and then took a lot of night and moonlit pictures as well. Overall, I would say that this is probably the best DSLR on the market and while it is Nikon pricing, it is a great value for the price. I'm finally going to sell all of my old Nikon film based gear. Although, many of my old lenses can fit on the D7100. While I might complain about Nikon pricing, this camera is worth every penny! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Excellent camera for the price, I didn't need the features of the D7200 since I don't do action photos so the D7100 was the perfect choice for a much lesser price.

I just made the upgrade from the D3100 to this, the D7100, to help support a growing side business and general enthusiasm for photography, and this camera is ALL THAT! It's the crop-sensor flagship from Nikon, and with a basic knowledge of the big 3 (ISO/Shutter/Aperture) you're ready to jump into a whole new world. SO MANY setting changes at your fingertips! No more searching menus to get to the quick settings you want, it's all quick and easy! Combine this with a speed light (like the SB700) and some good glass, and if you've got the skill, this camera will MORE than keep up with ya!

I have used Nikon cameras for over 30 years and I have always been happy with the quality. I decided to increase functionality and the 7100 fits my needs. I can use my old lenses with a modern version of what I have been using for years. The 7100 allows me to upgrade the quality of the pictures that I take.

Although the Nikon D 7100 is by no means what you would consider a cheap camera the makers have included features that up until now we're only available in a much more expensive frame. The D 7100 blurs the lines between serious amateur and professional. While doing research before making the purchase I realized that this camera will satisfy my needs for years to come.
