Love this Cam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying many other cameras to replace my old D70 I got the D7100 and am very happy with it. Takes great pictures and the operation is close to the D70 with many very nice improvements. Unlike older cameras this one takes great low light photos and does not have the same dull look if the sun is not out. All the pictures I have taken so far have turned out very nice... Well worth the extra $ if you already have lenses.

Great Camera! Loving It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned my Nikon D5100 and traded up to a D7100. I can't tell you how happy I am that I did. Although, I am having to re-train my fingers since the controls are a little different, I find that my pictures are coming out so much nicer. It really is very user friendly after putting a little training time in. I haven't had the opportunity to use the video portion yet so I really can't comment on that. Great investment!

Excellent camera for the advanced beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the camera! Many of the settings are easy to use and understand. Preset settings enhance photos. Crisp, clear photos. Howeved, on the expensive side.

The Best DX Camera Ever Made
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been shooting Nikon DSLR's since the D70 and also own a D700. The D7100 is a fantastic, lighter alternative to the D700 that gets sharp images with the lack of the AA filter. I upgraded from a D5100 for this and it will be my primary camera for vacations, family outings, etc. Great video quality and the headphone jack and level indictors helps you get great audio with an external mic. It is light and high quality the screen is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this camera body.

Great camera. Nice upgrade from a D3100
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The D7100 is about three times the price of my earlier D3100, but its a big upgrade. Pair this with a Nikkor 18-300mm lens and it will last you quite some years (unless you are bitten by the upgrade treadmill). Great camera, takes great pictures and has a hefty set of features. If you do buy a 18-300mm lens then buy the D7100 as body only and skip the one bundled with the 18-105mm.

Best Nikon DX Camera to date
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is THE Nikon DX camera to own for experienced DSLR shooters. It offers amazing image quality with the 24MP sensor and lack of a low pass filter. High frames/second especially with DX crop mode setting. Usable ISO up to 2000 for fantastic low light pictures. Lens fine tune feature allows the option to hyper-fine tune the focus for up to 12 lenses results in crystal clear images!

First Class DX Format Digital Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sold my Nikon D300 and purchased this latest Nikon DX format digital camera because it has better auto focus and much better low light capabilities. I'm very happy with my decision! With the D7100 I've taken photos indoors with very little ambient lighting and where flash was not an option. I set the camera ISO to 6400 and captured a very acceptable photograph in terms of clarity, focus and color. This is all the more remarkable to me because I was using a Nikon 28-80mm f-3.5-5.6 lens set at f8! The live view (view subject through the LCD screen at the back of the camera) and the HD movie functions are additional benefits over the older D300 camera. A real keeper!

Overall Use/Quality/
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, So, . It's like this. No matter if you are an amatuer (as I am) or professional photographer, this camera takes AMAZINGLY clear, detailed pictures. I have been vigorously learning photography and I am quite happy to have picked this camera. At this time I cannot afford the pro lenses like the 17-55, 80-400, and all the 1k over lenses, but with the 16-85 and 70-300 that I have, the pictures are just amazing! I will get the 35mm 1.4 next. hehe. If you are thinking of getting a new dslr don't look any further than the D7100 (unless you're getting a full frame). You WON'T regret it! Believe me ! I live in San Jose, CA.. if you are intersted hit me up, we can learn and trade secrets.

Good C
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Camera for the price. Not much difference between the D7100 and D7200 so I save some money by buying the older version.

Great camera for a mid to advanced photographer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera for anyone who has advanced knowledge in photography. Use it as a main or back up. The photo quality is sharp and color is amazing. You can also set it up for your style of shooting. It is well worth the price. The only problem you may have is the new Raw format. If you don't shoot in Raw then you should have no problems. I prefer Bridge over the NX programs to work on my files if needed before opening in Photoshop. With the quality photos you'll be taking with this camera, you really won't be needing to do much work to your files. Overall, this is a great camera if you want quality but don't quite have 2 to 3 thousand dollars for the D600 or D800.

Amazing photos quality!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon D7100 is a great camera. It's easy to shoot with. Youtube is a great tool to compare cameras and learn the details. I especially like the weight and size of the camera.

Best in half frame
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best camera nikon came out with in half frame, so it's better than d3000s and d5000s, if you want a better camera, then you are looking for full frame then.

Phenomenal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Canon T3i which was great, but for portrait work the Nikon is simply second to none. I have really enjoyed this with my 35/50/80 fixed, and 55-200 Nikkor lenses.

Great results already, more potential to follow.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this camera, with the 35mm DX lens, and the 70-300 telephoto lens, before a very picture-heavy trip. I did not have as much time before the trip as I would've liked to learn the features to this camera. However, I got some fantastic pictures that I will cherish forever. With minimal expertise, I was able to get amazing wildlife photography done. I can't wait to learn more, and take advantage of all of the features on this camera. Get the Wi-Fi adapter to transfer photos to a tablet while on vacation. This camera has two SD card slots, but it was great security to get their photos onto the cloud. Plus, the smartphone/iPad app doubles as a remote control.

Awesome camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started out with the d5900 at first and after one week I realized that I should move up to this camera. I use it every day for my job. About 4 hours a day. Love it!
