We bought this camera to replace an older Nikon model. I watched a few videos on YouTube to see how to set it up and use the different settings. The camera is easy to use and you are able to fine tune the picture easily. I am taking mostly pictures of my kids in athletic events or dance recitals. I am able to get great action shots that are not blurred. I am also able to get great pictures at their band/choir concerts.

I feel that this camera is s great middle of the road camera good price and a great photo for your money

One of the best DX format you can buy for less than 1K . good kit lenses. Wifi and NFC are useless. I rather use the USB cable and Lightning to camera adapter to download pictures to Ipad.

This camara as my first professional camara has been amazing. The kit lenses it comes with are mediocre in comparason to buying an actual lens. I have done 17 shoots with this camara and one shoot made it to being displayed in an art gallery with that kit lens. It was well worth the buy i still use it every week.

Good camera over all.,but the lenses are not to my liken.

I upgraded from an ancient (but still good!) Sony a100, and am very happy with my choice. I opted to stay in the crop-sensor family because I like to photograph birds and other wildlife, and I like the extra reach. I've only taken about 300 shots with it, with several different lenses, and I'm very impressed with the image quality. I don't think I'll need to upgrade again, any time soon!

Takes really great quality pictures and is not too difficult to use if you are a beginner.

Make sure to select single shot and not effects when you take pics (That is the bottom dial under the one you use to select aperture etc.). That way you can set the pic quality to raw and fine jpeg. Also go to the menu and set exposure delay time to 1 or 2 seconds if you plan to use a tripod as that will help you capture sharper images. The one drawback thus far is shooting in low light (overcast not dark) scenarios but I need to verify that by eliminating all of the other variables. But if you do have a couple more Benjamin's then save it for a full frame sale instead!!!

Great clear pictures! I just got it so to early to review I have taking some pictures with the auto feature for my daughter graduation they come out amazing:) have to thank Nikon for always coming out with great cameras got to capture all the special moments in my daughter life.
