This is an exceptional camera for the price. Some might say a beginner camera, I don’t think so it is user friendly and equivalent to a professional camera I have had it for a year with the kit lenses and it’s outstanding definitely a great choice. Thank you.

We bought this about a year ago--tired of the point & shoot digitals, And my last big Nikon purchase was a film camera - which of course is harder & harder to deal with. I really love this camera! I can't say I've used even a fraction of the functionality--gotta take time to read the manual! But very happy so far!

Very nice weather resistant camera body with a fantastic sensor provides excellent dynamic range and high ISO performance is excellent as well. The 70-300mm lens that comes with this kit is the weakest part of the package. This is non-VR version and to get good performance when between 200 and 300mm, you will need to use very high shutter speed or use a tripod. And even at that, at 300mm, your image will still softer than using the 70-300mm with VR. Still, this is a good way to get into the Nikon system with a complete range of optics at a decent price.

This is a gift for xmas and haven't taken it out of the box but most magazine and customers have given it high ratings.

I love this camera! I had a Sony A300 and was very happy with it, but the Nikon D7200 is even better. Pictures look great.. low light shots...action shots...distance shots. Wish I had bought it several years earlier.
