… if you're not expecting D850 features and capabilities for D750 price. Any previous Nikon user will be at home with the controls in minutes after picking up the camera. Nice deep hand grip. Quiet, relatively speaking, shutter, buttery smooth tones, great dynamic range and decent battery life if you're not reviewing every image you take on the spot. For me it focuses on my desired subject through gaps in railings and tree branches surprisingly well. The only feature I wish it has is the little joystick at the back of my D500 cameras. Once you've used one you easily notice its absence. I added the battery grip and now it is about as good as it gets for a full frame DSLR at an attainable price. A lot to learn with this camera but you can always start in Program mode and build on those experiences. Avoid cheap glass, if possible, on a good camera such as this or you'll never see the quality you paid for.

My first choice was the Sony a7rII. Main reason being I want a (relatively) light full frame that I can lug around anywhere and everywhere. My photography style are mainly landscape and traveling. Hence I like to have the full frame capability, as well as the relatively low weight to fit my photography needs. Alas, the low weight advantage of the a7rII becomes negligible when you put on a telephoto lens, and a telephoto lens is my main lens when I travel for my photo shoots. So, price becomes the next criteria when I decided which camera to buy, and the D750 beats the a7RII hands down. Yes, the a7Rii has more pixel power, but that can only go so far as ones creativity. For me, given the tool I have on hand, whats next is how best I can use that tool to deliver the best photo I could take. Irrespective what camera you have on hand, there is no limit to how far your creativity can take you to take that best photo.

Excellent, but lacks a few tiny things

As a professional photographer my standards are a bit high. That being said, this camera meets or exceeds all of my expectations so far with only a few tiny annoyances. #1 Nikon CLS control is limited to two flash groups, as opposed to the standard three unless your using another controller...this just seems either lazy or an intentional limitation. My 10 year old D700 can handle three, and has significantly better power management. The 750 seems to need me to recharge it a lot. Even though with my old D700 i could tote it around on small assignments all week and barely give a thought to recharging the batteries unless I put in a solid day. Lastly, controls are not the pro, but pro-sumer style. I can live with that, but sometimes you just cant get to what you need fast enough. Hopefully with a little more time to get used to it I'll be back to being able to adjust things without hunting for them forever... Just a few small gripes, but hopefully helpful to the veterans out there.

This is my 5th Nikon 750 in 1 year. I've had 3 that quit working in the middle of shoot. At times you can take the battery out and insert it to fix the problem, other times it just stops firing and there isn't anything you can do. I've had this happen in 3 cameras that were lemoned out before the first 6 months. But other than that, the picture quality, shutter speed, low ISO, and amazing ability to capture candid moments quickly--AWESOME! I'm a pro wedding photographer as well as take pro headshots for seniors, models, business pros and do family photography. I just hope when Nikon comes out with something different it doesn't have this glitch!

Good color, high dynamic range, quick & accurate auto focus and light weight for 135 format DSLR. Especially I was amazed its wide dynamic range. When I shoot skyscrapers in NY, there were huge brightness difference in the scene and it looked high light was blown away on LCD screen of camera. But when I did post process actually it was not totally brown away. I still could get some detail from the RAW file. Amazing! Over all it's very nice camera but there some thing I want Nikon to improve. Auto Focus points are too much concentrated to the center. If it's distributed to entire frame, it will be much better.

This is a pretty good camera. However, it does seem slow down when reading or writing to the card and I can't figure out if its the card or the camera. I am using class 10 cards and its not a big problem but it is noticeable when you hit the preview button and have to wait a couple seconds for the image to come up.This is my 5th Nikon DSLR and I never noticed that problem on any of my other cameras including the D7100, which is also 24 mega pixels. Other than that it seems to be a good camera so far.

I wanted to upgrade and have read all reviews for the D750 prior to purchasing. All lenses are interchangeable from the D90. Taking photos in low light with the provided lens is great I use autofocus most of the time and I have been able to do continuous capture easily. I would recommend this camera for an intermediate user. I have had trouble with purchasing extra batteries and other equipment in the local stores.

I was considering the D7500 and D750 as an upgrade to the aging D7000. The 7500 would've been great as it's a more recent model but the full frame lured me into the 750. My only concern was the lack of a faster shutter speed on the 750 topping at 1/4000 but its just a step slower than my D7000. It's still a huge leap of an upgrade for my family event shoots.

This is by far the best camera I have ever owned. People say it is no 850 and that is true but it has everything I need plus less weight and doesn't have the ridiculous amount of pixels. It likely doesn't need to be said but for anyone who uses post processing essentially all of the software processing features will never be used.

I have been researching this camera along with many others and decided on this one. One reason was because it's full frame and getsee up to 6fps. It truly is an amazing camera however it is complextremely. I recommend knowing a little bit about cameras before buying. It can be overwhelming.

Nice camera, takes great night photos, there are so many settings, it really is a learning curve, wouldn't recommend for someone who doesn't know how to use camera settings as it can be difficult, but if you know what you're doing this is a fun camera that you can do alot with

Great camera for the price! Awesome low light performance and dynamic range. Lens grat and is sharp. Camera does have a history of recalls but was mostly with the older body’s. Seems Nikon has fixed the glare issue. This is our second D750 and have not had any issues.

my first full frame DSLR. the 24mm - 120mm is more than enough for usual photo shooting. felt a bit heavy at the beginning. give some time to get accustomed. tried video shooting. there is a strict time limit of about 10 minutes. don't take it seriously, it is a still camera anyway.

Good camera, heavy at times but seems to take good pictures and has a ton of features & functions. Be nice if they included a DVD of basic & advanced options on how to use. Guess that is what YouTube is for...

I use this camera for professional photos and I have used it for personal. The shots are magnificent. It is heavy but much easier to use than my D5300. I can change my speeds quickly. It can be pitch dark and the pictures turn out beautiful. I love this camera.

The D750 is an amazing camera. Not too pricey but well build, great image quality and the unbelievable focus system perform perfect even in low light. Plus wi-fi build in and the tilt LCD. I am glad I have waited that long and purchased D750.
