Haven't been this excited about anything in years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The D750 is an astounding piece of technology that will bring you new capabilities, improve your photography craft, inspire you, and help you make great photographs and movies. The superb low-light performance (both autofocusing and image quality), articulating screen for movies and low shots, built-in fill flash, U1 and U2 saved settings modes (you can change every setting instantly for different uses like landscapes and portraits), highly customizable full features, and small form factor, make this a camera that I have a special affinity for in less than a month of use. The combination of professional and enthusiast features is a brilliant synthesis. This is the only full-frame DSLR with a tilt screen, and the low light performance is better than any other Nikon, even the D810, which has no articulating screen, and D5, which has no U1 and U2 modes. I've been shooting Nikon for over 30 years, but this camera reaches a whole new level of creative inspiration.

Thrilled with this camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been shooting with the D700 for years and was waiting for a new camera for better low light handling. I had an opportunity to shoot an indoor volleyball tournament last week and I am quite pleased with the results. Happy I made the switch!

Absolutely incredible camera for professionals
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The high ISO capabilities of this camera are mind-blowing and the low-light autofocus is very impressive as well. There is ton of information in the shadows of the RAW files, so much so that you can recover up to 5 stops of exposure from an underexposed image. The dynamic range is brilliant and the colors are gorgeous. Such an inspirational camera. I'm a wedding and portrait photographer and have been nothing but satisfied with this camera's performance.

Excellent camera for serious amateurs or pro's
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been shooting Nikon cameras since 1989. My last camera was the D300. I wanted to have a camera capable to shoot clean shots at high ISO, with better auto-focus and with more resolution than the D300. The DX option was the D7100, but even though this is a very good camera, I was waiting for another DX equal enough to the D300 or much better in all respect. Obviously, the D7100 was tempting me but I was waiting for the rumored D400 that probably will never be created. The D600 was not an option due to the oil getting in the sensor. Nikon tried to fix the problem by introducing the D610 which in my opinion, was not either an acceptable option as well. The D800 / 810 were too pricey and the D4, way too expensive for my wallet. I was waiting for either the rumored D7100 replacement or another camera FX in between the D610 and the D800 series when the D750 showed up ! I decided to buy this camera and move to a different world, the FX world, which demand the use of better lenses and technique. I do have 3 professional lenses already : Nikon 70-200 f/4, Nikon 105 f/2.8 and Nikon 16-35 f/4. The experience and technique was there also. I was ready to move and gave this camera a shot and let me tell you, I won't go back to any other; I am simply impress with this camera. I am able to shoot at ISO 12800 and the results are amazing, great colors at that high ISO and clean shots. The AF system of this camera is super fast and infallible. Set it up for AF-C Group and the camera will not stop shooting very sharp pics of your model regardless of their movement speed. This is a plus to me because I shoot weddings and even though you can get kind of the same result with the D7100 by setting that camera in AF-C 3d, still that function is not as perfect like the one in the D750. Before, with my D300, I had to use at least 2 speed lights to get the shot done while shooting indoors. Now, I do not have the need to use flashes anymore. My D750 is capable to "illuminate" any dark room and turn it into a very bright one. It does not fail ! It is capable to shoot even in dark environments, something that is not possible with the D7100. I also have the capability to shoot almost 6 frames per second; the color rendition are excellent, the body is very light and ergonomic, the shutter feels secure under your finger, excellent life battery ( more than 1k shots ); believe it or not, this camera shoots excellent jPEG pictures even at high ISO. The body is weather sealed. The other night I was shooting under a light rain and I did not even bother trying to protect my camera. For me, it has been a great move and worth the investment. The only flaw is that at the moment, you are not capable to download your RAW files ( I shoot in RAW ) directly from the camera to your photo processor unless you do have a RAW converter. I use aperture and I bought the ExifChanger program from Apple for $10 dollars and with that little program, I am capable to convert my RAW files as if they were shot with the Nikon D5300. As a temporary solution, it is a great choice, till Nikon release the RAW file format. I won't give you my opinion about the video capabilities of this camera because I am not a videographer and I do not really care about that at all. I am a photographer 100% and as such, if you are looking for a camera that will help you to improve your pics in any kind of environment, assuming that you have the lenses and the experience, this is your camera. Not that expensive as the D800 or D4 but at the same level of those cameras. The D750 produce much better clean shots than the D800 and its AF-S system is on par with the top of the line, D4 series. Isn't a great choice ? In my humble opinion, yes it is by all means !!

A huge upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so impressed with this camera that I moved to Nikon after being a canon guy for over ten years. The reason I made the change is that the dynamic range of canons new 6d mark ii, which is their $2,000 entry level full frame, was unsalvagable. The dark areas at any ISO were too granular for use. The video quality was poor. I compared the 750 on dynamic range, low light, and video and the 750 is WAY better on all three. It was a lot of work to change over from canon to Nikon, but if what you want is good pictures and not gadgets this is a great camera at a reasonable price. I also noticed reading many 750 reviews that a lot of the 750 owners seemed to have a sort of affection for their 750s. Haven't really seen that consistently on other cameras. Now I feel that way...

Love this camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a huge step up from my D3100. Seemed heavy at first, but after using for several weeks, not so much. When I pick up my D3100 now it seems like a toy in comparison! After much research, I opted for the Nikon body only and purchased 2 Sigma lenses--a 24-105mm F4 (fast autofocus using D750's back button, and sharp!) and a macro/telephoto 70-300mm. I think these are decent lenses for what I paid for them--much less than Nikon lenses go for. The D750 is a lot of camera, and I am still learning to use some of the customizable features. YouTube tutorials have been indispensable in this regard. The more I learn and practice, the more I love this camera. I'm a little disappointed in the low-light performance. When I put the camera on shutter-priority (I like to shoot handheld, so usually set the fastest shutter speed I can), the camera seems to bump up the ISO higher than needed, resulting in some noisy shots. I often turn off the auto ISO to find the sweet spot. But this is likely more a limitation of my lenses than the camera. Overall, you can't go wrong with the D750! Best Buy sent some freebies w/ this purchase: a 32 GB card, a sling-type camera bag that I'm really liking much more than expected, an extra battery (not Nikon, but works fine), and a Shutterfly book coupon. So kudos to Best Buy for some good swag!

A better camera than I am a photographer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to "step up" to a Full Frame. After a months worth of research & web comparisons, I finally "bit the bullet" & purchased the D750. It was just before a big vacation to Alaska & Wow, I was not disappointed. This camera is every bit as good as the reviews say. The dynamic range is amazing, every exposure problem caused by this newbie was easily corrected with little lost image quality. So many features & so capable; pricey (for me), but worth it.

The latest Nikon Rocks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past I have owned several DSLR's including Canon & Nikon and even my share of mirrorless by Sony and Fuji. The D750 truly is the successor to the D700. The image quality is top notch, the high ISO is nothing short of amazing, the video is great, the tilt screen and WiFi are actually a pleasant surprise, and the dual SD card slots are a bonus over CF. In fact, I can't find one flaw with this camera. Thank you Nikon. Thank you, thank you.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much independent research, and after that research was supported by reviews and a friend's experience, I purchased the Nikon D750. I'm still learning all the functionality, but so far it's been great. (I'm transferring over from being a Canon user.). I currently have a 50mm prime lens and just purchased the 28-300mm lens (both Nikon FX lenses). The picture quality, menu scheme, speed, etc. are great!

Great full frame DSLR camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to get a full frame digital camera, and I wanted one with excellent low light, low noise performance. After reading reviews and discussing options with a very knowledgeable Best Buy employee, I chose the Nikon D750. Frankly I never thought I'd go back to a "big" DSLR camera - I have been using the Micro 4/3 format and compact cameras - but I am happy with my choice. The D750 has many settings and options, but it only took me a couple of days to get familiar with the ones I will normally work with. The low light/low noise performance is everything I expected, and the camera is easy to hold and use, in spite of its relatively large size. I am very impressed with the Nikon lenses available for use with this camera. Overall, I am happy with my choice, and I look forward to years of satisfying use of this great full frame DSLR camera.

Excellent DSLR Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a D800 for several years & was very happy with its performance & picture quality. But I would say that the D750 is a better camera. Picture quality is excellent & I was really impressed by the low light capability. It doesn't hurt that it has a smaller & lighter form factor than the D800. Highly recommended.

We're going to need a better photographer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first full-frame DSLR I have purchased, after using three different ultrazoom cameras over the years, all with a decent degree of manual capability but all with compact sensors. My concerns included price, weight and ease of everyday use, plus mastering the feature set. I am very happy to have taken a big step up, The D750 is worth the money, easy to use in ordinary situations, and not a major drag on my luggage. But there is so much the camera can do that it's clear I will need to start improving my game. Any problems with my images now are clearly the fault of the photographer, not the tool.
