But, instead, spend some time customizing its extensive menus to get what you want. And test your choices out. Once you do so, it will really, really allow you to make photos the way you hope they will look. Excellent! And the lens? Wow!!! Perhaps mine is exceptional, but this thing is fantastic. I stayed away from the 18-200 and 18-300 and 18-one-million options, and went with the simple old 140mm in hopes of retaining sharpness and usability. I am so glad I did. My lens is seriously sharp wide open at 140mm. Let me repeat that...my lens is seriously sharp wide open at 140mm. Bokeh is really good too. I'd buy this again in a second.

Has all the features that Nikon matured over the period for the mid range DSLRs.
