Allows for remote control of a camera shot and helps with the long exposure shots. Great for self included shots when posing with others. Must be in front of the camera to activate the shot. Good range for wireless activation - have not gone beyond 12 feet but I would think you might be able to get out to 16 feet and still work just fine. Worked right of the box once the battery is activated.

My husband bought this. He is just beginning to get into photography. This works great. Very easy to use. It's pretty fool proof.

this remote I purchased for my nikon camera and it really works great. I highly recommend it if you use a professional DSLR camera.

Very easy to use controller with the camera, syncs right away and as soon as you click it, the camera auto focuses and snaps the photo.

One quick setting on the camera ant it was ready to go. I wasn't sure if I needed the wireless dongle so I purchased both, ended up returning the wireless dongle. This only triggered the shutter the shutter times are set on the camera.

A must have for times when the photographer needs to be in the photo as well. Also when you need to have perfectly still and stable hands. Works fast but needs line of sight, very small and can be hidden in almost any photo. Also takes standard battery so if you run out of juice its to change on the fly

works great if you get it at the sale price. Im sure there are better remotes out there but overall it works great for beginners.

You can sit in your lawn chair and snap pictures without getting up...at least for meteor showers and lightning storms.
