I rented this lens a little while ago and was very pleased with its performance and portability. The lock on the rental had already lost its ability to hold the lens at 24mm so I'm guessing I have to keep an eye on that over the life of the lens.

I just loved it, very versatile with fast focus, perfect for shooting during the day. I still prefer a 2.8 lens to shoot at night.

Nice and light. balances well on Z6, Z7. I like this better than the 24-70S turn to activate design. it's ready to shoot at anytime. I really like the versatility of the range in an all in one vacation solution

This is my all time lens on my Z6. There is very little difference on sharpness and resolution between this lens and the 24-50 f4. Very versatile for lots of occasions. Highly recommended.

An excellent all-purpose “walk-about” lens for the Nikon Z family. I use it on the new Z 6 II and it really performs well. Fast, accurate focus, and supreme sharpness.

Could not be happier. Was looking for an entry level Z-Lens with some telephoto capabilities to use with my Nikon Z6II. What an impressive lens. The shots I am getting shooting high school sports action are clear, sharp and full of bold colors. Other photographers with similar equipment are very impressed with my photos and are surprised with the semi-low cost of this excellent lens.

Great lens so far. Versatile for daily needs, allowing up-close work all the way out to a reasonable zoom in a manageable and relatively light package.

Great pictures, excellent focus, light weight, decent zoom range, and well made. Includes lens lock to prevent inadvertent lens extension.

I initially pre-ordered this thru BestBuy but due to the pandemic and related shipping delays my order was cancelled and I ended up getting it from another retailer. It took me 3 months to get this from when I first ordered it on Best Buy but boy it was worth it. This lens is a very high quality optical device as is always the case with Nikon, very sharp and I am happy with the quality of my pictures and being able to carry 1 lens for a range of purposes. It is not a pro lens but very good none the less and the build quality is superb. I'm Happy I got it despite the long wait!

Superb lens for walkabouts, hiking and travel. It’s lightweight, sharp, and affordable.

Why Nikon does not market this a "kit" for its Z mount system is beyond me. At just 1.25 pounds it is a very good walking around lens. At 24mm F4 through F5.6 the center out to the corners is very sharp and it is equally as good at 200mm at F6.3 to F11. Although, beyond f8 there is some softness in the corners, but nothing that would prevent making a fine art print. One downside is the lack of a VR button on the lens. This feature is handled via the menu in the camera. This is more of a Nikon issue not the lens. Zooming in and out is easy and smooth. The glass on this lens is great and in my opinion is better than some of the S series lens at twice the price.

Bought this lens as an all around travel lens. Light weight, sharp pictures. This will be my everyday lens!

This is a good lens with good image quality for 9x zoom. Very versatile. I use it when walking around.

The first lens I received had to be returned and exchanged to BB. The lens was defective. Good lens for the money.

Love it almost replaced my 24-70 f4 mostly do nature photography so mostly use higher f stops. It’s not as sharp and little cheaper construction. I’m Not a professional so for me it’s more then good also it’s light a big plus point for me.

Very good lens for my new Z6. Better quality glass than a third party lens so the pics come out super nice. The 24-200 is an all in one lens as far as I am concerned. It's good for close ups and shooting real estate (indoors) and a 200mm zoom is all I need for landscapes. Will probably grab a 50mm down the road, but for the time being, the 24-200 is a great lens. Just need a new monitor so I can fully appreciate the higher quality photos from my Z6.
