My Nikon D850 does not have a built in flash. My other Nikon flash is larger and has more features. But I like keeping this small one on my camera for basic flash functionality. Its a good option in a small form factor.

It works great! You can adjust the direction of the flash so you won’t wash out your picture! Big difference from the camera flash which was always too bright and washes out some of the pictures!

This small flash adds just enough light to photos to boost the atmosphere and add sparkle to the subject's eyes! Best of all, it uses its own batteries, so that it doesn't drain the camera's main battery.

Completely satisfied with my purchase. I could have bought a cheaper off brand flash as suggested by the service rep but I wanted to stick to the brand of my camera.

This is a small compact flash but it's very good quality and exactly what I need for fill lighting and regular photography. It's head tilts to make a diffuse Flash.

Affordable and makes a world of difference with the light quality of my photographs in areas with uneven or poor lighting. Love it and would buy again!

I haven't relly had a chance to use It mutch. So far I'm happy with SB300. I have bounced the flash a few times and it worked good.

Does a good job overall but I do wish it had a one half and quarter power adjustment.

I have been a Nikon user for over 10 years; however, I was not at all pleased with this particular product. The battery life was terrible and the flash output was nowhere near what I expected. I return this product.

I used to have the SB-400 and I LOVED it! The SB-300? I like it. Not quite as good, although the small size is good on my D3400. I wish it took AAs instead of AAAs, bounce is adequate but seems like it's just barely adequate. Recharge time is a bit slow. I'm keeping it since it fits nicely and DOES make an improvement over built-in flash, but I really wish I hadn't sold my SB-400!
