For my purposes, this flash is a win! I am nowhere near a professional photographer but I do enjoy quality product which helps me realize my artistic vision. A longtime fan of Nikon, I have always had my eye on this flash. I saw the opportunity to upgrade when I went mirrorless so I took a chance. I have not regretted my decision. A very instinctual lens to use, I felt like I didn't need to read the manual too much.

This is my 2nd flash & all time favorite. I am still in awe at how fast it is. I have had very few times where it didn't fire. I LOVE how easily it slides on/off camera & the easy switch lock is perfection. I was a little nervous that it would wiggle, that the switch wouldn't hold tight enough, but it's perfectly stable with no wiggle room. I use 3-4x a week for buisness (& photographing my 2yr old) & I couldn't be happier. Still performs like it did when I took it out of the box & have already had it 2 months. Perfect. I am a photography novice.this flash deliver everything I was looking for to make my shots better. It is easy to use and has more features than I know how to use right now,so it will grow with me

Bought this for my Nikon D5100, and it works wonderfully with my camera. Pretty user friendly, considering this is my first external flash. Cost was great too. Would definitely recommend to others!

This speedlight is easy to use. It has helped greatly with lighting on portrait work. The filters and diffuser that is included are nice as well.

This product serves as a must for any low light event, like receptions, parties, dances etc. it performs extremely well. It is quick and easy, and your photos are wonderfully lit.

I am by no means an advanced photographer but this flash is easy to use and I feel when I get the time to learn the more advanced features of both the camera and flash, this flash will continue to meet my expectations. I love how the flash can be angled up or down and rotated to meet different situations. The accompanying flash lenses and wireless features add to the flexibility and versatility of this unit. I was a little hesitant with the seemingly high price of the flash, but I have no regrets and have found no issues with the flash to date.

What a great flash for the price. It’s not the top of the line, which of course is much better, as you would expect 2 times the money. This to me is the best bang for the buck. I’ll probably end up getting a second one for my external flash photography on tripods if I set them up as slaves to camera’s master flash control. It comes in a very nice case, has a diffuser, a stand, and some light filters. The reach is very adequate for what I do and the zoom lenses I use.

Easy to use powerful flash that worked right out of the box. This flash keeps on flashing cycle after cycle without overheating. Great for use at events or weddings.

Purchased to use with my Nikon D7200 camera. It is very compatible and performs excellent for images requiring flash.

I am not an expert in digital photography, but I am trying to learn more about enhancing photo quality being taken by my D7200 camera using the flash. There are many to choose from, but I decided on the genuine Nikon with a reasonable price tag. This SB-700AF fits the bill. It has many features and takes a while to get used to it. I am happy with this purchase.

I’m still learning how to use all of the features on this flash, but I have to say, I loooove it. Makes all the difference on almost all shots. Incredibly fast turnaround, too. Wanted to get a cheaper flash but read how long between flashes, and I couldn’t afford to waste 4-7 seconds of time. Great upgrade!

yes there are cheeper flashes but none assay to learn, does all you need and more. matches great to the nikon d7200 or any of them

for a medium size flash it is really good. This flash does great lighting without having to use the cheap flash on my camera.

Great flash, light weight and compact so shots are easy to make. Cost is reasonable for the high performance value of this flash

First bought it and thought it would be overwhelming to learn everything. Not the case as it's very easy to navigate and does a lot of the work for you. Especially if you're on TTL. I recommend this one 100% There are comparable flashes out there but as with any Nikon branded product they just seem to be a little bit short to what Nikon can do...and the price difference here isn't large enough to sacrifice having Nikon for another brand.
