This is a great flash. Use on or off camera. Can act as command or controlled flash. Has built in bounce card, and has other accessories to control your flash.

This flash is a great flash for just starting out, has a lot of great features and is easy to use with the digital display. I personally really like that it has the built in bounce card and diffuser.

The Nikon sb-700 speed light flash worked and fit perfectly on my Nikon D3100 DLSR camera. It adds all kinds of options to my photo needs that i was unable to perform without it.

What a great flash for the price. It’s not the top of the line, which of course is much better, as you would expect 2 times the money. This to me is the best bang for the buck. I’ll probably end up getting a second one for my external flash photography on tripods if I set them up as slaves to camera’s master flash control. It comes in a very nice case, has a diffuser, a stand, and some light filters. The reach is very adequate for what I do and the zoom lenses I use.

My sb 600 worked well with my non full frame camera, but the sb 700 works even better with my full frame D-610, but still works seamlessly with non full frame cameras.

Recently purchased the Nikon SB700 flash with some trepidations based on other reviewers. So far I have been very pleased with the overall performance and versatility of the flash. One of the driving factors for purchasing the SB700 was the weight and portability. Both of which I find meets my needs. With regard to the door issue, so far, there have been no incidents. Bottom line I find this flash to meet the needs of the casual to mid level user that is looking for an easy to use flash.

Great power and versatility for the price. Have back up batteries if shooting and using your flash for long periods of time. Easy to use.

This flash isn't very fast at taking multiple pictures in a row but when it does it lights up the photo great. Uses a lot of battery juice so buy several!

Love it. It’s beyond what I expected and works great keeping the red eye out of the photo.
