For anyone who is interested in adding and controlling light... this is a great flash to start or to add to your existing light set... with more experience and power though, you'll want to upgrade to D5000, depending on your dslr... Nikon is a great product!

This is a fantastic flash which works well with my Nikon D750. It came with the light diffuser and filters. One filer I used at church, and it corrected the yellow effect on some gray hair, because of the fluorescent lighting.

This speedlight is very easy to use. It works with the TTL settings on Nikon and also manual. The dials are more accessible and easy to use. The recycle time is quick. It is a nice piece of equipment at a fair price.

I am an intermediate photographer and real estate agent. I use this speedlight to photograph my listings. I previously used a generic TTL speedlight and the Nikon achieves such great results. I love the flexibility and ease of use.

I was about to by SB900 but got a chance to use it, and I didn't like the difficulty of exploring the functions/buttons. SB 700 is in fact a great buy for amateurs overall.

This is a great flash and as a huge help to photography, specifically inside. Think of Christmas Eve when the lights are low and it’s hard to shoot at a good ISO. Throwing this bounce flash and your problems are solved. Nikon should include wireless transmitters for the price. It wouldn’t cost them anything.

Like anything else, it requires experimenting and testing the capabilities of this flash. I would say that Nikon has developed an all over high quality flash. I was not disappointed with this purchase!

This was my first flash, and Iit has transformed my photography! SIMPLY AMAZING. I bought it for my intership with a wedding photography company, and it's been usefull, I have not been disappointed.

This flash is very simple to use with my Nikon D800. It's been the right flash for the scenarios that require more light than the build in D800 flash.

I recently purchased a new Nikon D500 camera. I wanted to get a compatible flash that would be easy to use...and this one is great! I works extremely well with my new camera and will also work with additional flash units.

Having used non-Nikon external flashes in the past, I can say the Nikon SB-700 is the right choice for Nikon DSLR's. Off brands will not always work with Nikon's current firmware. This flash has great battery life and amazing lighting power.

I use this flash for an internet auction sales site and it is much better adn faster than some of the others I looked at. I like the remote feature which allows me to easily use multiple flashes.

I mainly try to shoot with the available light, but sometimes I need a flash. I checked out some other brands, but decided to go with the Nikon flash. It's a great flash unit, and 100% compatible with my cameras functions.

This is my second flash that I got and it has been great both time. Unfortunately had to replace the previous flash with the same one due to the little one dropping it and cracking the piece it connect on the camera

Wow! I went from cell phone photography to Nikon d7000 photography. Upon my explanation for buying the camera it was recommended that I buy this flash. I am a beginner and have yet to explore all the buttons, bells & whistles and recommend some crash courses and/or classes on how to use them so your money doesn't go to waste. I think I made a good choice though.

This product may seem pricey but I would say it's worth the money as long as you cant find a better deal on a higher model. It's relatively easy to use and customization to get near perfect lighting. Perfect for weddings and indoor events.

Previous to this, my camera was a Sony, and I owned a Sony flash. This is SO much easier to use. The menu system is easy to understand and simple to navigate. The flash is strong enough for everything I need. I do add a snoot to it for daylight shooting if my target is very far away. I use it for flowers, macro (off camera), and people. With the snoot it works great for lower light but daytime photography of bands and entertainers. Highly recommended for an average Nikon shooter.

I spent a lot of time doing research before making a purchase, trying to decide if I needed such an expensive piece of equipment, and I am so happy I did. I love everything that came with the light and how simple it was to get started!
